"It is puzzling to some that Major General Zhang Zhaozhong, a professor from the Chinese National Defense University, said China will not hesitate to protect Iran even with a third World War... Professor Xia Ming: "Zhang Zhaozhong said that not hesitating to fight a third world war would be entirely for domestic political needs...." And don't forget Russia, which recently said it is preparing to retaliate against NATO and has put radar stations on combat alert: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/russia-retaliates-against-us-puts-radar-station-combat-alert-prepares-take-out-european-missile "Russia is another ally of Iran, with similar policy to that of China. Toward Iran." Watch, and please forward the entire video, for an explanation of how China is approaching the situation not only in Iran, but a perspective of how they view the western "threat", as well as what tensions they face domestically.

1. I've been saying this forever here, and I believe Russia will also back
Iran. A strike on Iran could turn real ugly, real fast.

3. Third world war
Well a third world war is what I think those pushing for war with Iran wants, they are getting restless, and cant wait for the Rapture,so they are willing to try and bring it on themselves.
Wish I could get way from all the "God and religion crowd"and let them do what they want.
And on the other hand our Imperial leaders maybe want to try and surround, box in,and try to keep Russia and China in check.Bad idea, not going to happen, that part of the world is their region and Territory .
Too bad or leaders keep to forget the dynamics have changed and we are not in the same mighty position we were 100 years ago,and we will not be able to do like we did to Japan to either one of those nations without serious consequences, and just might be all around mutual destruction

7. Some scary shit.
Russia has more than enough crude.

The US just fought wars to insure their next couple of decades worth of crude.

However, drum roll please, China has yet to weigh in concerning their near future crude oil needs and where this might lead them.

There is no way WW III will happen over this crap. China's entire western coast would become unlivable. Most of their population would perish and all their infrastructure would become worthless. China has coal reserves but it is not OIL. They will remain players but on the sidelines. They will use their trillions of US dollars to their own good use.

I dispute the charge that China and Russia could ever collaborate on anything of substance. Two behemouths in the same sphere of influence can only come down to one in the end.
