The biggest impact from today's Republican retreat will be on the media.

CNN and the media in general was satisfied with putting up one side and then have another side refute it and just kind of stand by and watch them fight it out.

In dismantling the Republicans at their retreat the President has reframed the entire dialogue and this will have an impact on the media.

He decisively showed that this is fundamentally not a debate between two ideologies it is basically a debate between one side that is honest with facts and one side that is not.

The President made people who argued passionately for ideological points that have no foundation in fact look like junior high school debaters.

The blood is in the water and I predict that most of the punditry and media will now join in more aggesively in feeding upon the body of lies of the Republican party.

1. We know that's true..
I just hope the corporatemedia doesn't find a way to misrepresent the facts like the repubs do with Health Care Reform and everything else they lie about.

Unbelievable pro-GOP spin on CNN

Candy Crowley, David Gergan and Mrs. Dan Senor just sat there parroting GOP talking points declaring that today's meeting the President was a big win for the GOP.

7. I saw David Gergan and Tobin clearly state that this was a homerun for the President
and would change the whole dynamics

Crowley was complimentary of the President but didn't think anything would change.

8. Wow..
two opposite interpretations.

crowley being complimentary of the Prez is in itself earthshattering!

Thanks grant.

Nothing will change with the repugs..it has to come from the ground up as always..American People, baby!

9. Amazing how many times the President had to shut them down
"I know there's a question in there somewhere" and pointing out to one of them that he was making a campaign speech, not working as a representative.

I hope these people get booted out of office. When their constituents see them, they must cringe.
