There shouldn't be a bailout.

Let it all come down.

Let the world that the Limbaughs, Hannity's, Levine's, et al. constantly promote come to fruition. Let those who voted republican and blue dog democrat have the world they created. Fuck 'em.

I know. I know. If we allow that to happen that means that all those that didn't fall for this bullshit, right-wing, "free market", fascist, republican line of propaganda will suffer also.

We're going to suffer regardless. Let those that advocated for this bullshit reap the whirlwind.

Let them learn the hard way that republicans and right-wing free market ideology don't count them as one of the beneficiaries.

I say let the whole fucking thing collapse.

1. Agreed.
We either suffer now, or we suffer now and hand our posterity a mountain of debt. I pick the former.

10. Before we bring everything down~~~~
I found this today that puts some prospective into this bailout. It's worth the read and helps the blood pressure :nuke:

4. Agreed, but not as retribution. It's just the way it has to happen.
Only an unfettered correction will put the markets where they need to be. Yes, it will hurt...much as a hangover hurts after a hard night of drinking. A bailout is essentially continuing to perpetually drink so you never get the hangover...you don't get the actual hangover, but you poison your entire system for years.

6. It's not a bailout
It's an acquisition. The acquisition of the privet sector means of production, commonly referred to as fascism.

8. I feel exactly the same way
Let it go.

you know, I was in negotiations with an employer about 5 years back. The lawyer for the other side said that if we pushed too hard for pay increases and better benefits, that the employer would just close the place and sell it to a real estate developer. My negotiating team caucused and we came back in 15 minutes. what I said was, "Fuck it, close it down. If you're still open tomorrow morning, we'll put our proposal on the table, without one change in it. now go back and tell your boss if he doesn't like it, close the place."

Needless to say, we're still open and I got a pretty fair deal. Anyway, we ratified the contract and I got re-elected.

Now, maybe some dems in Congress can tell Paulsen, here's the deal, we want bi-partisan congressional oversight, we want a stimulus package that includes infrastructure, we want a provision to help the average home owner, we want a provision the excludes all CEO bonuses, and we want to repeal the 2005 bankruptcy bill.

That's our demand. If we don't have a deal, tell your boss (Bush) that we don't give a shit about the meltdown. Let it happen.
