CNN) -- ... George Sodini, the 48-year-old man police blame for killing three women and wounding 10 others in a suburban Pittsburgh gym, left behind an online diary that is as shocking in places as it is profane in others.

His first entry is November 5, 2008. "Planned to do this in the summer but figure to stick around to see the election outcome," it says.

The December 22 entry says: "Time is moving along. Planned to have this done already. I will just keep a running log here as time passes. Many of the young girls here look so beautiful as to not be human, very edible. After joining this gym, started lifting weights and like it."

Two days later came an entry about loneliness. "Moving into Christmas again. No girlfriend since 1984, last Christmas with Pam was in 1983. Who knows why. I am not ugly or too weird. No sex since July 1990 either (I was 29)."...

Read the diary again, the bit about his brother being a bully, etc. He had major issues for control and a prostitute by nature would not have satisfied his need for that. Sex was nothing more than a symptom of his "failure" to control what he wanted in life (particularly women.)

I've read parts of his "diary" and he apparently only had two relationships that broke up long ago, but he doesn't know why.

Many abusive men "don't know why" their relationships don't last. He could have been getting laid every night of the week and twice on Sundays, and if he hated women it would all have turned out the same.

From what I have observed, this guy had fallen under the male 'Cinderella Syndrome' and was looking for the one woman - the one relationship - that would make his life 'whole' and 'perfect'. And, The One was not a prostitute.
