This is what we wre seeing, and they don't understand. I will say at this point I don't think they care either, but that is another story. At this point we have millionaires in office who really do not understand how hard it is for the average American to make it. We hear it in things like "well retrain..." Not that easy if you have kids and all that. Reality is that we are at the hollow up stage of Empire as well as a full disconnect between them and us. Granted, MOST republicans are worst at this, but at least they don't make bones as to who they work for. Ours are just as much out of touch.
But there is more, we have seen the reemergence of values that are part of the DNA in the culture. It goes back before Calvin. It is the belief that poor are either deserving or not. And that those that are not deserving should be let to starve. Most poor are seen in the not deserving category. This is a conflict that goes back a long time. And to be honest, it disgusts me.

1. It doesn't matter what they understand. They don't care to understand. That's the point. |
|
They don't care about the masses. They only care about themselves.

Why should I support a primary challenge against him? If I were in CA I'd like Feinstein too; why primary her just because of a caucus she's in?

Its Senate caucus is the Senate New Democrat Coalition, led by John Kerry.

The DLC was formed after Mondale's loss based on the belief that the Democratic party was too far to the left to win national elections. They support gradual, targeted use of government regulations rather than massive statist enterprises; use of market forces rather than government decisionmaking when it's the better way; reduction of bureaucracy and complexity in government; and strong-dollar import-heavy trade policy. They're also big on gun control; the AWB was their fault.

9. Their influence on our party is responsible for a large part of the bubble the OP wrote about |
|
IT was the Administration's support of DLC candidate over liberal ones that helped account for the large GOP pickup in the last election.
Their influence is the reason that the GOP in not regulated to a shriveled husk of a regional party and is once again a contender on the national stage. And you can't see the advantage of primary challenges to them?

10. Like I said, I like John Kerry |
|
And since he's the only one I can vote for or against, I don't see the point of a primary challenge to him.

12. Just because I like someone does not mandate that I agree with their policies or believe they |

should be enabled to hurt our party and country. You can do whatever you want to do. I would not want to tr to dissuade you. But please realize there are things more important than our personal 'likes'.
