Being requested to edit a posting because link to article

was described as 'freaky' by mod?

What exactly does this mean? the link was to salon.com, actual legit original link from its website..

also, the post was available for 6 hrs, before I was notified to edit it? and then only given 15mins? I don't understand..and there seems to be no way to request additional information from the mod

Can somebody tell me what is freaky about the link? I re-posted a direct link to the website - that was also deleted - so not sure what one is supposed to do? and then it was locked

There was no copy-right violation..so what on earth is "freaky" - there is no definition on the website that defines 'freaky'

1. Sorry about that
From what I understand, the link that you posted to the Salon article went to the printer-friendly version of the page on their site. On some people's computers, this was causing a printer dialog box to unexpectedly appear when they visited the link, which is what the moderator described as "freaky."

The moderators wanted to ask you to edit the post, but since the one hour edit window had passed, they decided to use the copyright violation system (which would allow you to make the edit outside the edit window). However, this was not the proper procedure since the post was not a copyright violation, and I understand your confusion. Once they sent you the second request, the system forced you to self-delete the post.

My apologies for the inconvenience. You are of course free to repost the article -- here's a link to the Salon page:
