what happens to the people that have been here for a while |
|
and have donated as much as they can, when they can but now have to decide between food, meds and DU?
are you just fluffing them off? if you can't afford at least another $50 bucks a year (which to some of us is a lot of money) even though we donated $5 or 10 bucks when could ..... then screw you? believe us we have noticed the members who this does not bother......

1. I have always said that if someone is choosing between food, meds, and DU... |
|
...they should not be giving money to DU.
I actually think it's good that you brought this up, because this is one of the factors that influenced our decision to change. Over time, I have become increasingly uncomfortable with using the term "donation" because it implies that DU is in need of charity. It implies that giving money to DU is somehow worthy of being compared to paying for food or meds, or giving money to your local homeless shelter.
I should also add that, as always, people who do not purchase a star will still be able to post and participate free of charge -- in fact, we will be giving non-paying members access to more features on DU3 than they have on DU2.
