Is "politically incorrect" the "politically correct" term for racist and homophobic language now?

Asian-American soldier faced punishment before he shot himself, trial told

By Wade Rawlins

FORT BRAGG, North Carolina | Fri Jul 27, 2012 11:48pm EDT

(Reuters) - A Chinese-American soldier in Afghanistan was forced to crawl about 50 yards (meters) as punishment while his superiors yelled and hurled rocks at him hours before he took his own life, a fellow soldier testified on Friday in a court-martial hearing.

Private Danny Chen killed himself by a gunshot in a guard tower in southern Afghanistan last October.

One of his superiors, Sergeant Adam Holcomb, is standing trial in Fort Bragg on allegations his physical mistreatment and racial harassment pushed Chen to commit suicide.

<snip>

On one occasion, Holcomb pulled Chen out of his bunk and dragged him across sharp rocks, lacerating his back, Sepeda said. Sepeda took photographs of the injuries.

<snip>

Seven of Chen's other superiors from the Alaska-based 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, are also charged in the case and will be tried separately.

Allegedly, Chen was not physically or mentally fit and, on occasion, exhibited bizarre behavior, like sleeping in a portapotty because he felt he did not deserve a bed. (Gee, I wonder why he felt that way?)

Maybe he should have been given a medical or psychiatric discharge, instead of being continually tortured, physically and emotionally?

And, reading between the lines of the story, cover up is underway as the camo line closes around its own.

What the hell have we turned into?

Thank you for your service?

2. And the Reuters website is the only place I have seen it so far. That is disgusting, too.
Unless, of course, the story is false.

And, since I believe I checked the Reuters site yesterday, it seems to have been part of a Friday dump.

3. The story rings true.
If the guy was THAT unfit the obvious humane answer was to remove him from the kind of duty that would endanger the troops. Sounds like the guy might have had a sort of mental affliction. I guess our military doesn't do nuance.
