If you missed this great protest by NYC parents against Won't Back Down... |
|
be sure to watch it. Teachers angry, parents upset, something's got to change. Arne says he will be glad to stay the next four years...uh oh. Hope not. In the video forum, well worth it. They did a great job. You go, NYC parents! "Educating Maggie" (Gyllenhaal) about Parent Trigger.

2. P.S. As I type right now, CNN is talking about this. |

Supposedly, Maggie G. insists it is not an anti-union movies. Said her family is "very pro left" (I bet she really means Democratic) and she would not be able to go home for Thanksgiving if she had made an anti-union movie. So, she is either still genuinely clueless or saying, "Hey, I got a paycheck."
Viola D. was shown on camera saying that she did not even know about all the controversy about different kinds of schools when she made the movie. She just thought everyone was pro-kids getting a good education. She looked very sad. (Then again, she is an excellent actress, so who knows if I was seeing Viola being sad or acting sad?)
Hidden blessing: This movie may be the reason the anti-privatization side of the issue gets some media coverage and public attention.
