The Suicide Of The Republican Party
n a situation that calls for panic, Wisconsin’s Republicans and their Corporate Puppeteers tonight guaranteed themselves an unprecedented and disastrous recall next January.

More over, they also guaranteed themselves that any cloak of stealth under which they have operated in their attacks on teachers, firefighters, policemen, unions, and the settled law of collective bargaining, has been stripped away. If you pass a supposedly urgent “budget repair” bill with key budget components cut from it, you forfeit the fiction that you are doing anything remedial, anything essential, anything except a naked power grab on behalf of corporations who will get the money stolen from organized labor – civic or private.

1. I doubt he needs it.
I don't think I ever found a word I was looking for by using one, anyway. I way prefer dictionaries.

2. Not concerted?
Does anyone find it strange that all of these newly empowered R's in every statehouse across the country have the exact same marching orders? AL is a right to work state so they simply removed the ability of the teacher's union to contribute money to any campaigns. This entire process has been orchestrated somewhere else and handed to the newly elected R's in every state. They're all utilizing the same blueprint and they have been commanded to execute it in damn the torpedoes fashion.

3. Likely orchastrated by their so called "think tanks"
to prop up the fall of capitalism in the USA. We don't make shit anymore, the rich sure as hell aren't gonna give up their money - hell we just gave tax cuts to billionaires - so the money to keep things afloat for at least a few more years has to come from somewhere - so WE will be the ones paying - loss of jobs, loss of pay, loss of benefits. This WILL be the new America - justified by these bloodthirsty capitalists who want a "New World Order" where there are relatively few super rich, and TONS of dirt dirt poor people willing to do any job, no matter how shitty, just to survive. We have to compete with India and China now - how can people not see that unless we drastically change course - we are fucked.

This is definitely a coordinated attack.

5. K.O. is the Thomas Pain of todays society.... I believe Keith is correct again...
This will last only until a new Governor is sworn in. I would say sometime about a year from now. His recall will set the stage for a massive change to the left in the fall of 2012. Let's hope the Dems are ready this time to actually do what we expect them to do and get away from even trying to meet them half way. They are showing time and time again they (the right) have no intention of compromising.

This entire movement by Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, NJ and Florida is to break unions so they can't effectively fund the Democratic side next year.

That is all it is about... it isn't about the budget... that was used as a cover. Scream and yell we are on the verge of collapsing if we don't pass this bill! Immediately! Ram it down our throats just like chimp and cheney did with the Patriot act.

Anyway... Karma will work it's magic sooner than people think. This will come back to bite them and bite them hard next year.

Peace

6. Is it not murder-suicide?
They're trying to take as many others with them as possible.
