12. They made decisions that you don't agree with
If they changed them to suit yours or my wishes is that selling out too?
I just think it's early and nobody knows what is going to happen and people need to chill out a little.

16. Early into what?
HRC sold us all out years ago

Same with Bill, and John Kerry

Kerry and Clinton voted for the war on Iraq

Chances are they support our new, third war

Obama - I don't see how he is any different than Bill (Clinton)

You can't compare him to Bush or Reagan. Different set of priorities.

But no matter the priorities, they're not ours.

20. It's early in the way
that we are bombarded with speculation.
You don't know and I don't know what next week will bring.
And I'm sorry..Obama is no Reagan!(And that is his best quality)

14. The young can afford idealism
Once you start to age, reality creeps in...bit by bit, and before you know it, 30-40 years have gone by. We all grow up, and once we are on our own, we all compromise:(

18. They all "made it" and we didn't.
That changes things, doesn't it?

I mean, I don't think we are so naive as to think that navigating the channels of power, prestige and money is about being able to remain an idealistic person with impenetrable values and integrity when it comes to those below your new status.

One would expect the oneupmnaship, (its chief function) of the human mind to play into the rise to power and notoriety, no matter what part you play on that level of the stage. I say that in light of what I see in the public arena. I base it on the types of people and the perspectives and politics they spew. If there were no hurdles and defined echelons that serve to weed-out real trouble makers and hone and groom the up-and-coming participants who aspire to higher rungs on the ladder, we would see a far greater spectrum of powerful benefactors wielding swords of justice and beneficence for the common man.

Instead, we seem to see what looks like a cavalcade of sociopaths who step on what they can to take the reigns of power we allow them, (because we are trained to be docile and expect and need leaders) along with a few who seem to be sensitive and caring to our needs, yet prove to be rather impotent and wanting in results as they consider and care for their own careers.

19. They didn't go anywhere, they always were where they are now
they only wore the "uniform" and spouted the words of the times. I knew lots of people like that, on the outside they wanted to fit in (for whatever reasons, staying out of the war, being popular etc.) but their hearts were somewhere else.

generally speaking you can have one or the other.
