Because the poster thought we might have been able to persuade some of them to our side.
I do not mean to disparage or question the posters comments and thoughts, but after 9+ years of that stupid son-of-bitch still spouting his lies and bullshit, it they still support him THEY ARE DEPLORABLES!
And that is probably the most polite thing I can call them.

There are reports that the "Biden administration is pausing their ads" during this shooting at the tRump rally.
I respect the administrations values and concerns about violence against political rivals but they should come out with a ad tonight or tomorrow and run it until the election.
The ad should be something like this: (I'll let the ad experts refine this)
"For the last 25 years we have begged our Republican friends to tighten the gun laws in our country. They have refused every request, voting against even minor changes that even their Republican constituents approve of.
How many more attempts to the death of politicians by gun violence are going to be required, before the Republicans realize that the common sense gun laws requested by the vast majorities of the citizens of the USA, including Republican voters might even save those politicians lives and the lives of their presidential candidates?"

My doctor just told me I will die in a month...
I said, "that's great, l'd like December, 2035.
You will never guess what the doctor diagnosed as my problem...
We live in a RV and travel full time. The two of us share cleaning responsibilities for the motorhome. I do the exterior, she does most of the interior. I clean the dash area, she cleans the kitchen & bed area. We both do dishes, and clean the bathroom.
My problem was I HATED to vacuum the floors (mostly linoleum and runners). I tried everything to overcome the hatred of vacuuming, but couldn't beat the feeling I had. Finally I went to the doctor to find out what was wrong with me.
It only took her about 15 minutes and she had the diagnoses.
I had a severe case of "roomba-tism".
