Talk about "bad optics". My beloved Democratic Party is screaming about a Russian invasion of our election system and corruption in the Trump administration and they're leaving town? The only possible thing people can take from this is that things are not near as bad as we think they are. The sentinels have abandoned the gates. To me, you don't leave the center of government when the government is in crisis. What happens now? do we hold off on all the court actions to compel witnesses to testify until September? And then, are we going to ask a court with a straight face to expedite matters?

We are either facing a crisis, or we're not. Don't tell me that these people need a vacation. There are millions of people in this country who haven't had a vacation in years. Don't tell me that they have to go back home to "connect" with their constituents, they can do that on the weekends. Pelosi says they need to have a stronger case for impeachment...tell me just how you're going to do that with nobody in Washington to do it.

In case you haven't got my point yet...I think this is a terrible, terrible mistake and it just may be a fatal one when, years from now, we are sifting through the ruins of our democracy.

Mueller has spoken. He has confirmed everything we already knew and more. He will not win an Academy Award but there was nothing flawed in the facts he confirmed for us. The House has no choice but to convene an Impeachment Inquiry, to bring all the current committees into one and use the power of an Impeachment Inquiry to put an end to this and to Trump.

To do otherwise is to give the American people bread and circuses instead of democracy.

Each Congressperson on the committee will have 5 minutes to question Mueller? This format is a recipe for disaster. Why do this except to allow grandstanding and sound bites? Supposedly they want to educate the American people on a complex subject. Who are they kidding. No wonder Mueller is reluctant to testify. I'm disgusted and I think tomorrow's hearings are doomed to failure
