Fox News just released a poll. Not good for Clustertrump
I can't post all of it - this was a very complete poll - but mostly it's a downturn for Trump. Especially in what should be his core/base.
Fox News Poll: President Trumps ratings after two years in office
Theres also a decline in economic optimism: 37 percent believe the economy will be stronger a year from now, down significantly from 55 percent who said the same in 2017. Some of the biggest drops in optimism come from independents (-32 points), very conservative voters (-28) Trump voters (-27), and Republicans (-25).
President Trumps best job ratings continue to be on the economy: 49 percent approve vs. 46 percent disapprove. He gets negative marks on border security (43-53 percent), immigration (42-54 percent), and foreign policy (38-53 percent).
The decline since September in satisfaction with the direction of the country comes mainly from white evangelical Christians (-18 points), conservatives (-11), Trump voters (-13), and Republican men (-13).
The biggest drops since last January in the number saying the country is better off today come from very conservatives (-12 points) and Republicans (-10).
The Fox News poll is based on landline and cellphone interviews with 1,008 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide and was conducted under the joint direction of Beacon Research (D) (formerly named Anderson Robbins Research) and Shaw & Company Research (R) from January 20-22, 2019. The poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points for all registered voters.

Venezuelan President Maduro gives U.S. diplomats 72 hours to leave after U.S. recognizes opposition
BREAKING NEWS: Maduros move to expel U.S. diplomatic personnel comes after the Trump administration called Maduro an usurper and recognized opposition leader Juan Guaidó as the nations interim president.
This story will be updated.
CARACAS, Venezuela President Nicolás Maduro on Wednesday faced the gravest challenge to his authority since assuming power in 2013, as the U.S.-backed opposition claimed the legitimate mantle of leadership, and President Trump promptly recognized him as Venezuelas interim president.
The dramatic developments came as anti-Maduro protests drew hundreds of thousands of people into Venezuelan streets.

Email: TSA makes plea for backup (250) as shutdown drags on
Washington (CNN)The Transportation Security Administration is making a plea for 250 people to bolster its workforce of backup officers, the latest sign the agency is straining under the pressure of the shutdown, according to an internal email sent Monday morning from a TSA executive and obtained exclusively by CNN.
The email, sent to TSA officials in more than 10 states with more than 100 airports, asks for employees to move from their home airports to those airports struggling with low staffing, an indication the agency is bracing for even more callouts.
The email is the latest example of increasing anxiety within TSA about the rising number of callouts as employees prepare to miss a second paycheck this week. Ten percent of TSA's workforce had unexcused absences on Sunday, the agency said.
This is the second such request for more backup screeners to help fill staffing gaps, according to the email and a TSA official familiar with its contents.

Defenders of the MAGA-hat youth: Spare us your concern for children, please
Below is the closing paragraph. The author details several examples of RW media attacking children.
So spare us your think of the children! outrage, Trumpers. Until you aim the brims of your Chinese-made MAGA hats at the unapologetic bullies in your own ranks, your misplaced righteous indignation and pious finger-wagging only betrays your own smug history of targeting the innocent.
Back in 2010, both Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh mocked then-12-year-old Malia Obama, imitating her voice with what can only be described as the most annoying sounds in the world.
Rewind to 2009 during the health care reform debate when an 11-year-old girl asked President Obama a question during a town hall meeting about the mean things she observed on various protest signs outside. Michelle Malkin and other conservatives swooped into action like flying monkeys, investigating and exposing the girl and her parents for being Obamabots.
You might also recall that Malkin famously stalked a 12-year-old accident survivor named Graeme Frost after he appeared in a commercial supporting SCHIP, the childrens health insurance program.
Many of us recall how Trayvon Martin was posthumously doxed by racists jerks who were allowed to dance on Martins grave with no danger of hearing the young mans side of the story.
There are myriad other horror stories. World Net Daily attacked a high school play. Anti-choice activists targeted the child of a landlord who rents space to a womens clinic. Limbaugh, once again, attacked a 13-year-old boy and called him a Nazi stormtrooper. The entire right-wing media Kraken was released upon 11-year-old Marcelas Owens after he attended the Affordable Care Act signing ceremony.

What I Learned Inside the Lonely, Sad World of QAnon Facebook Groups
Good article from Vice. Warning - language.
An avid connoisseur of internet morons, the moment I learned about QAnon I was immediately curious, and began going about joining the private Facebook groups where Q followers regularly congregate. What I found was a frothing cauldron of insanity, where people asserted that the Santa at Trump rallies was the not-actually-dead JFK Jr, biding his time until he could come back and arrest Michelle Obama, and where no admission of belief was too embarrassing. It got much, much worse around the holidays.
If Im being completely honest, I yelled out loud at the bologna/doritos Thanksgiving dinner sandwich. Nobody was home and I still yelled. Normally I would find these things too sad to be funny, but Q followers (almost all self-described deplorables) blur the line between being tragic and hilariously gullible. And these posts, far from being the exception to the rule, are actually the norm in the Q-niverse.
As you probably noticed from the examples I have provided, the Q crew is made up of a very specific archetype of internet denizen: elderly right-wingers who have gone too far down the online rabbit hole. Diving into any given thread youd be lucky to find someone whos age drops below 55but you will encounter one of the most unnerving melanges of psychotic ramblings and hateful screeds available anywhere. Calls for sanity are met with accusations of controlled opposition, and the only theories that are criticized are ones that question if the group has gone too far. But more importantly, almost every single member of Qs following seems to have one glaring and unifying trait: They are deeply, heartbreakingly lonely.
Given the obviously bullshit premise of the entire thing, it seems likely that the Q movement will fall apart at some point in the future. A more open-ended question is what happens to the army of olds that it has amassed over the year, and what their lives will look like in a post-Q world. These people seem genuinely sadquietly aware that the world has mostly passed them by, and desperate to define themselves as something more than simply a cog in societys system. They see themselves as brave truth-tellers, warriors for unnamed children that Hillary Clinton is currently eating sous-vide, and from this they gain purpose and self-worth. When it becomes clear, as it invariably will, that they have been had, I wonder whether they will be able to comprehend this fact, or if they will be able to find their way back to the real world.

Trump preparing two State of the Union speeches for different audiences: Sources
President Donald Trump is preparing for two different State of the Union speeches one a more traditional address delivered to Congress in the House chamber or some other location in D.C., the other prepared for a political rally at a location outside of Washington, D.C. that has yet to be determined, according to multiple sources familiar with the planning.
Sources told ABC News that the president was previously planning two separate versions of the State of the Union one version if the government was still shut down and another if the government was open
However, now the planning has evolved, assuming the government shutdown could drag on past next Tuesday the expected delivery date of the address. If the president decides to deliver a speech in rally form, it would mark the first rally style event the president has attended since the partial shutdown began.

Sanitation workers commemorate strike that was followed by Martin Luther Kings assassination
By Andy Meek
February 1, 2018
MEMPHIS Rain began to fall on a procession of sanitation workers Thursday afternoon as they commemorated the strike that Martin Luther King Jr. was supporting when he was assassinated here 50 years ago.
The weather was much the same on Feb. 1, 1968, which led two sanitation workers to seek shelter in the back of their garbage truck, where they were crushed to death sparking a two-month strike for better worker safety.
Singing "We Shall Overcome," the group walked to the spot where Echol Cole and Robert Walker were killed, becoming martyrs whose deaths touched off a strike involving 1,300 black workers.
