'Well, Sean thinks we should do this,' More on Fox News hosts influence on Trump.

Much of this is known but there a few bits that I hadn’t read before specifically that Kelly had to translate/cross reference the influence Lou Dobbs TV show had on a sitting President.

Trump’s Cable Cabinet: New texts reveal the influence of Fox hosts on previous White House

“There were times the president would come down the next morning and say, ‘Well, Sean thinks we should do this,’ or, ‘Judge Jeanine thinks we should do this,’” said Grisham, referring to Sean Hannity and Jeanine Pirro, both of whom host prime-time Fox News shows.

“It taught me the power of the young producers at Fox, and Fox Business especially,” Pillsbury said. “These young producers who are in their mid-20s. They come out of the conservative movement, they‘ve never been in the government. They are presented with these reckless, fantastical accounts. And they believe them and put them on for ratings.”

Former Trump chief of staff John F. Kelly told others in the White House that Dobbs’s show was critical to understanding the president and that Trump’s ideas and feelings about people often originated from that program. Kelly also told colleagues that if Dobbs went after a White House senior staffer, they risked their status falling quickly in the eyes of the former president.

An internal Trump coronavirus response team led by Jared Kushner, the former president’s son-in-law and senior adviser, also prioritized the requests of certain VIPs, including Kilmeade and Pirro. Kilmeade had called two administration officials, for instance, to pass along tips about where to obtain personal protective equipment. And Pirro had repeatedly urged administration officials to send a large quantity of masks to a specific New York hospital.

Uh oh. Ted Cruz and Tucker going at it.

Tucker - you use words more than anyone I’ve ever known.
Cruz is bombing. Defending the 1/6 prisoners.

Tucker took him on about “terrorist”
Cruz is trying desperately to take back using it.

Cruz references BLM and Antifa.

Grade C - for both.

Ohio toiled 15 months on license plate, missed backwards plane

https://www.autoblog.com/2022/01/04/ohio-wright-flyer-license-plate-mistake-15-months/

Designers at the Ohio Department of Public Safety fussed over details like the colors and the plate's rural and urban themes. The Ohio State Highway Patrol tested for readability. Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and his wife, Fran, were also involved, right down to deciding the breed of the playful dog used in the design. DeWine told Public Safety officials at the plate's unveiling that his wife “probably drove them crazy” with her input.

Not once did anyone point out the backwards plane.

“Y’all leave Ohio alone,” tweeted the Department of Transportation in North Carolina, where the Wrights first achieved powered flight at Kitty Hawk in 1903. “They wouldn’t know. They weren’t there.”

Not only that, but the incorrect license plate went into production. Columbus, Ohio's CBS affiliate 10 WBNS found out that the state had produced 35,000 examples of the license plate. Apparently they will be recycled, and the corrected design was put into production after the mistake was discovered.

Purely speculative but - fully electric cars stuck in the I95 mess?

I can’t find any actual information one how long EV’s could last in such a situation. Sitting still but producing heat.
Lots of people were caught unprepared whether in gas, hybrid, or electric.
I can’t find any story with an interview with someone in a fully electric car.
Is it just a situation that few cars are designed to do what was needed?

I found this article by Charles Lane at theWashington Post.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/01/04/imagine-virginias-icy-traffic-catastrophe-with-only-electric-vehicles/
Again this is purely speculative.

DU thoughts?
