DAMN STRAIGHT!

YES, I'm SHOUTING!!! (For joy!!!)

There was nobody better, or better-suited. But how could you possibly find anybody better when you already have The BEST - experienced, battle-tested, and ready to go?

Good point.

November 28, 2018

Oh great.

Not yet, anyway.

A few more years. Get yer feet wet, do some governing, survive a few serious battles, put some points on the board, build a good base of allies and voters, and you'll be set to make a run at the biggest brass ring there is, Madame Representative-elect. Take care and watch your back, though. The more successful you are and the bigger a splash you make, the more enemies you'll have.

Actually, trump is ALWAYS going to stand in President Obama's shadow.

That's as close as he'll ever get to true greatness. A tiny gnat of a "man" almost invisible in the shadow of a genuine American giant.

Welcome to DU, Apollyonus!

I will celebrate when he's gone.

Retired, voted out, passed away. Whatever.

Doesn't matter. I'll take any/or and all of the above.

I think it was something around 70 million. Still ridiculously high. And at least four years.

So I don't mind if Mueller keeps digging, or Schiff keeps digging, or Nagler keeps digging, or Waters keeps digging, or whoever it is - or how long they keep digging into trump & comp. Hey, to all those like donald who whine about witch-hunts - you didn't have any problem at all when Ken Starr was doing it.

I remember that painful night.

I was amazed watching how steady and composed she was while announcing the bad news to the public - on a horrific night in the Bay Area. She was head of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors at the time, if memory serves. Her strength, poise, and leadership really helped hold that city together in the midst of such a traumatic night.

Not quite sure about that one. There's an awful lot of denial out there. From him on down

the GOP food chain. I heard some intriguing analysis today regarding Paul Manafort that may be operative here, too. There was speculation about his lying to the Special Counsel, to the point that Mueller & Company gave up on him after it became clear that he'd just kept on lying to them. Speculation that people like him have told so many lies so constantly for so many years that they've reached the point where they can't even tell what the truth is anymore.

And of course, that's compounded if you live full-time in this insulated bubble world of fantasy and "alternative facts" and have it perpetually reinforced by your favorite media outlet. That would certainly be trump.

When all is said and done he's nothing but a CON man, and a supreme manipulator.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
