calimary's JournalWhy wouldn't he try something like that?
I wouldn’t put ANYTHING past him at this point.
Still early, though.
That wouldn't be the same party under whose banner he's chosen to run, a second time?
Whose campaign infrastructure and operatives he chooses to take full advantage of, whose email lists and funding and intel he chooses to access and exploit?
If he hates our party so much, why does he keep trying to win our nomination? And if he keeps wanting to play with our stuff every four years, but then kick us to the curb when we don’t crown him king, and abandon our name and banner to go back to being an independent again?
Seems like he wants it both ways. Are you ON the bus or OFF the bus, Bernie?
For me, personally, it’s just mighty hard to consider embracing someone who’s made a nice long living insulting my party of choice and complaining nonstop about how lousy it is. But then he turns around and expects a coronation by that same party he hates and insults and complains about. That quickly becomes personal to this lifelong Democrat.
I’ll do it if I have to. I’ll vote for Bernie if he gets our nomination. I took the Indivisible Pledge - vote blue no matter who. But I’d be far more comfortable with another genuine Democrat, not a “Democrat” of convenience, a “Democrat” in name only.
Indeed.
Indeed. It's been noticed. Rather glaringly.
Bingo!
Here, as well.
BINGO!
Hell YEAH! Again, how is it that an individual who's been in elected office
IN Washington DC, ON Capitol Hill, from 1991 to this very hour - how is such an individual NOT part of “the establishment”?Somebody’s gotta help me understand the reasoning there.
If you’re truly “anti-establishment,” doesn’t it follow that you maintain a DISTANCE from that entity and avoid being any part of it or maintaining a job title or long-running position of prominence within it?
It's not you so much as it is the track record of 2016
and the sore losers who chose to throw their votes AND our country away in spite votes for Jill Stein and other “busts” in the “Bernie or bust” reaction.
They did. It happened. We noticed. I’ll never forget the guy my husband knew, with the Bernie bumper sticker on the back of his car, who, after Hillary was nominated, slapped a Jill Stein sticker over it, at an angle so you could still see enough of the “Bernie” wording underneath. I spotted that and decided I didn’t want to talk to him anymore.
