They won't be happy to learn that their employees are so off-putting to customers and so inconsiderate that they won't be responsible to the public and wear a mask, just out of sheer courtesy and consideration of others if NOTHING else, that the chain is going to LOSE CUSTOMERS.
They really don't want YOU, anyway. They want YOUR MONEY. Which, don't forget, comes in through their door in YOUR pocket, and is transferred from YOUR pocket or wallet into THEIR cash register. THEY'RE the ones who should be showing respect.
They need to know this. Definitely and even more definitely!

Sheesh - Rorey! I'm so sorry for what you're going through!
It's a good thing that you're writing about this, and putting your feelings and thoughts on record. It's kinda like journaling, in a way. It's good to get it out of your head and on another surface separate from you where you can look at it with some separation.
And it's good for the rest of us to see, read, and understand a little better and more intimately. Thank you for including us in these vulnerable moments you're going through. Thank you for letting us in.
That's actually something I worry about.
Years ago, I thought we couldn't do worse than the "torture's okay" duo from Hell bush/cheney. And I wondered - "Shit! what could be worse, lower down, more criminal, more evil, bottom-of-the-barrel, than bush/cheney?"
And years before that, I thought we couldn't possibly do worse than Nixon. "Shit, what could possibly be worse, lower down, more criminal, more evil, more bottom-of-the-barrel, than Nixon?"
So now, I find myself wondering, seriously, who's gonna come along who's worse than trump? And is it inevitable that there'll be such a monster?
Too many times I've seen and heard comments to the effect of "this makes me wish we still had dubya..." or "I can't believe I actually miss Nixon!"
Heaven forbid we look back on these dreadful, dismal, thoroughly UN-American days and wish we were back here rather than mired in what's going on by then...

Now, keep in mind, there's a time variable from when the next snapshot of statistics is taken, and when it's uploaded so whoever's making up those graphics for broadcast at NBC News can set everything up. I'm sure they track it closely. But these are humans, and right now, there might be some absenteeism and maybe somebody who's supposed to do that was out getting coffee downstairs for people in the control room who could not leave, or somebody's training today (it's Saturday, after all), or somebody HAD to run to the bathroom RIGHT NOW, before top-of-the-hour and change of anchor and headlines. That sort of thing. And they're short-staffed, I'm sure. Maybe more than usual. After all, news staffers don't have any special immunity.
There are always variables. That's why I'm quick to remind that this, here, is very much a non-professional data tracking.
