As to "why Hunter Biden?" I can't help but suspect it's one of two rationales:

1) they've got nothing on Joe Biden and they're desperate to stir shit up some way, somehow, somewhen, somewhere, with somebody that will hurt him or get close to him to dirty him up for them, in one way or other; or
2) they're hoping if they dig deeply enough, they just possibly/maybe/might find SOMETHING/ANYTHING they can hang President Biden for. I bet SOMEBODY in the "R" camp is still fishing around, desperately digging between the sofa cushions, mumbling "there MUST be a pony! There's GOT TO be! I just KNOW it! There just absolutely, positively, definitely, MOST assuredly MUST be a pony..."
