Oh, Dear, God. Peggy Noonan. OY!!!

Why does anybody even let her out anymore?

I used to regard her as “Reagan’s Monica.” No, she never did any nasty stuff with Ronnie behind closed doors like Monica Lewinski did with Clinton. But in another life, you bet she would have! In this life she mainly “fellated” him on the editorial pages.

Embarrassed herself with her shameless public gushing - like a lovesick school girl. It was absolutely nauseating.

Wow - what an amazing read.

It took me straight to the moral dilemma. What would I have felt - or done - in that position?

MAJOR case of mixed feelings.

Just the newest twist on "reality" shows.

Is that Bernie Kerik seated behind him, in the pink necktie?

He's a glorified X-ray tech.

But yeah. And sued for malpractice.

I used to know a couple of X-ray techs. Very skilled people. But neither of them would EVER presume to want to head a White House-level task force on a medical crisis that's so far outside their level of specialization or expertise.

Yep. That's when he turns back into the proverbial pumpkin.

It seems reasonable enough, since he already looks like one! And his fabulous coach and horses that was at his command will turn into White House security, escorting him off the premises because he won't be living there anymore.

I'm all in with that!

If there are no consequences, there’s little motivation to follow ANY rules, or ethics, or any such thing.

There has to be a deterrent factor. Simply MUST be.

Hey, that's how Boyd Matson used to dress for work!

When I worked at NBC Radio, he’d show up regularly on the third floor where the network news ops were based.

Above the waist: nice clean ironed white shirt and necktie. And proper, well-fitting suit jacket. And perfect hair.

Below the waist: rumpled shorts, ratty sneakers and socks, and lots of hairy leg. Because when he did his standup, he was always shot close-up, maybe at most, from mid-chest-level, OR seated behind an anchor desk.

Sometimes David Letterman would wander in, to voice a regular feature for the radio network. Hell, he didn’t even bother to tidy up above the waist. Old baggy sweat pants and sweat shirt with a - um - “relaxed” neckline, and hair that hadn’t seen a comb for what looked like several days. He ALWAYS looked like he’d just rolled (not climbed, ROLLED) out of bed. What you could get away with, if you were on the radio!

K&R, and Bookmarked.

I want to spend some time on this one.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
