There are no "technicalities" about this. There are no obscure "legal issues" which common folk can't fathom.

Clarence Thomas's refusal to AT LEAST recuse himself from any case involving Trump or his administration is not simply wrong; it violates ehical standards that every judge in the country is held to: avoid even the APPEARANCE of bias or self-interest. The word for the day, boys and girls, is "DESPICABLE---deserving hatred and contempt".

Recently, it has been appropriately followed by the name of one of the Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee, as in "The despicable Lindsey Graham threw a classic hissy fit" or "The despicable Ted 'Cancun' Cruz preferred to interrupt and talk over Judge Jackson rather than allow her to respond to his ignorant race-motivated questions".

It is a very useful word, kids, and one you should employ whenever it is appropriate. There are 50 Republicsns in the Senate, so you will have plenty of opportunities to raise eyebrows with this addition to your vocabulary!

"Genial" is an adjective meaning "friendly and cheerful". Most of us like genial folks.
