None of those kids will read "To Kill A Mockingbird".
None will learn about Hank Aaron or Rkberto Clemente.
None will ever see a drag show.
None will have an abortion or love someone who does.
And, thank goodness, none of these babies will grow up gay or trans or---a gun-hating liberal snowflake!

I believe that a very significant percentage of the population is composed of what most
would call "followers". These folks want desperately to be accepted by the majority without regard to what the majority thinks, believes, says or does. Their favorite words might be "Yeah, that's what I think, too!"
What this means, it seems to me, is that much of the popularity of Trump and his MAGA cult is attributable almost entirely to the constant "news coverage". In much of what is selected for broadcasting, it SEEMS that "everyone" agrees that he is a great leader and packed crowds are advertising their willingness to "fight" to put him in power.
Too many, it seems, react to what sickens us with "Me, too!"
We rather routinely see and hear interviews of Trump cultists at his rallies. Where are the interviews of the MAJORITY of pissed off decent folks who want no part of Trump's traitorous insanity? Where are the talking heads willing to call traitorous assholes "traitorous assholes"?
I still recall how disgusted I was when I first heard Rush Limbaugh crow "If you don't know what to think, listen to me---I'll tell you!"
If democracy is destroyed in America, it may have perished in a sea of bobbleheads.
So, since it appears to be the case that the shooter in Nashville was a part of the trans community
and he identified as a male, several of the intellectually stellar pillars of moral pulchritude--- like Marjie--- are already blaming that trans status as the reason for the murder of three 9 year olds and three 60-something adults. The implication, of course, is "This is what THEY are like! This is what THEY do! HATE ON 'EM!"
I don't have the exact numbers, but it seems to me that over half of the mass shooters over the past 50 years were straight white guys---like me. Does my heterosexual Caucasian status mean I'm next on your baseless persecution list?
Or, do you only pick on those you consider defenseless minorities?
And, here's a thought---maybe the damn GUNS are the problem!
Trump supporters beware! FACTS ahead!
The leaders of the Confederacy---and those who fought for them AGAINST the United States of America--- WERE TRAITORS.
Those who incited, planned, financed and participated in the January 6th, 2021 attempt to overturn the 2020 election result and overthrow the US government ARE TRAITORS.
If you support the current crop of traitors, maybe you should consider a couple of Mom's bits of wisdom: "Birds of a feather flock together!" and "Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas!"
Those are "Bless your heart!" ways of saying "Trump supporters are traitors ".
Like most here, I try---I really do. I remember my Mom cautioning me, her sometimes-hotheaded boy,
that "He who angers you defeats you". I understand that that is time-tested wisdom and I am aware that our anger and outrage makes the smirking MAGAvolk high five each other, ---- but,------------
------hearing Marjorie Taylor-Greene blame these Nashville school murders on "Biden's gun-free school zones" and say the shootings could only be stopped by "good guys with guns" at the schools---- I just am without any words that would be genuine if not shouted out between clenched teeth and filled with language that would not make Mom proud.

A sunny Sunday morning here and I will soon be outside in an effort to let some of
my utter disgust evaporate.
The Republicans on the TV machine are telling lies so transparent and vile that I was forced to click it off. My "disgustometer" had pegged.

So, Trump "just mentioned" that January 6th would be "wild" and that his supporters needed to
"fight like hell" to "save our country", but he did not specifically tell them to break into the Capitol, attack the cops and try to murder the Vice-President, so he "did nothing wrong".
Trump "just mentioned" how terrible the "FBI raid" on Mar-A-Lago was and SOMEONE shortly after shot up an FBI field office, but he never actually told anyone to do that, so he "did nothing wrong".
Trump "must mentioned" that New York DA Alvin Bragg was a "degenerate animal" who "hated America" and within a couple days, SOMEONE sent Mr. Bragg an envelope containing "white powder" and a typed note reading "Alvin: I will kill you!!!!!", but Trump never actually told anyone to do that, so--------------
Is anyone else losing patience with this BULLSHIT?
