What I want posted in every classroom in America

The Hard Right wants every classroom to have a copy of the Ten Commandments, because Jesus or something. Apparently a kid who’s being beaten and starved by his garbage parents is going to be motivated to excel by being told to honor his mother and father.

The Honor Code of the Military Academies reads, “a cadet will not lie, cheat or steal, or tolerate those who do.” Change “cadet” to “student” and it’s perfect.

If Trump is in prison in the second half of 2024, how is he gonna campaign?

I can’t imagine any prison warden believing that running for president is an appropriate jail job, so you know they’re not going to give him permission to leave jail for rallies. Trump’s entire campaign strategy relies on rallies. So…if he’s sitting in the Georgia State Penitentiary how does he expect to rabble-rouse?

Let's talk about Trump's belief in his immunity

https://constitution.findlaw.com/article2/article-ii--presidential-immunity-to-criminal-and-civil-suits.html#:~:text=The%20President%20is%20immune%20from,actions%20arising%20from%20unofficial%20conduct.

The esteemed Mr. Trump, whom we all know, seems to have adopted the “yeah, I did it but I was president when I did it so you can’t do anything to me because presidents have immunity from prosecution.”

Hold ‘er up there, Hoss, and answer this simple question: if a president can do whatever the hell he wants and get away with it, why did Gerald Ford have to pardon Richard Nixon to keep him out of prison?

Presidential immunity means a president can’t be sued or prosecuted for acts relating to his official duties. As a simple example, the Republicans can’t throw President Biden in jail over the thirteen deaths that happened during the Army’s withdrawal from Afghanistan - and believe you me, they would if they could. Nor can they chuck him in the stockade over the East Palestine derailment, which they’d do even though the government doesn’t run the railroad responsible. (Just so you know, the government owns a railroad - the Army runs it - but it was not the one involved in East Palestine.)

Immunity does not extend to criminal acts or actions taken outside the scope of a president’s official duties. Mr. Trump stands accused of committing 91 separate felony-level offenses. His immunity can’t save him from facing judgment, and it’s an atrocity that Jack Smith is being lowered to asking the Supreme Court to tell him that.

Regarding the Kate Cox abortion affair...

As has been thoroughly discussed here, one Kate Cox of Texas is currently in the midst of a non-viable pregnancy which needs to be ended. On December 7, Judge Maya Guerra Gamble ruled that she should be allowed to have one and signed an order - which was stayed by the Supreme Court of Gilead - allowing the procedure to take place.

I am starting to fear that Commander Waterford, attorney general of Texas, is going to try to get Judge Gamble removed from the bench and disbarred for doing what she did.

Trevor Jacob gets six months for obstructing an investigation

https://lasvegassun.com/news/2023/dec/04/youtuber-who-staged-california-plane-crash-gets-6-/

Trevor was the daredevil YouTuber who rigged an old airplane with cameras and jumped out of it in flight for a YouTube video. After he landed he removed the cameras, then went back into the hills and hauled off the destroyed airplane. They cut up the wreckage and threw it in a dumpster. In 2022 the FAA revoked his pilot’s license, and on Monday he was sentenced to six months in federal prison.

Best Make-A-Wish EVER: Terminally ill Army vet to crew Abrams tank

https://www.armytimes.com/news/your-army/2023/12/01/terminally-ill-army-vet-to-get-final-wish-relive-his-tank-gunner-days/

In 2004, Ray Tenison hated his job.

One evening, he was driving home from work when he saw the Army recruiting office and made a snap decision that changed everything. Intrigued by the M1 Abrams tank, he enlisted as a tank crewman. One hitch and I’ll have the money for college.

The Army sent him to Germany, where he was stationed at the same base Elvis once served on. He did a tour in Iraq during the Anbar Awakening. After his service he earned a master’s in Electrical Engineering and designed fuel cells and alternative energy systems.

In 2021 he was diagnosed with stomach cancer, which soon went Stage 4.

In October 2022 he posted on Reddit’s r/army subreddit that his dying wish was to participate in tank gunnery one last time. What Mr. Tenison didn’t realize is people in the Army armor community with enough pull to make that happen participate in that subreddit.

On December 5, 2023, Tenison will be issued a tanker uniform and helmet, assigned to a crew for a day, and take his last ride.

Revealed: The name of next year's National Thanksgiving Turkey

WASHINGTON (Spurious News Network) - The holiday of Thanksgiving is filled with many time-honored traditions, including parades, football, a grand dinner, and more football.

One of the most loved traditions is the unveiling of the National Thanksgiving Turkey. At a small ceremony in the White House Rose Garden, most presidents grant one or two symbolic turkeys a full pardon from being cooked and eaten, instead allowing them to live out their days at a petting zoo.

These turkeys always have a name, and it's usually inspirational. The 2024 National Thanksgiving Turkey's name will be no different.

"The 2024 National Thanksgiving Turkey will be named Donald Trump," said White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. "That's because only one turkey named Donald Trump can legally be pardoned, and we're making sure it's not the one who tried to overthrow the country."

I found the Department of Justice's list of Capitol Breach cases

https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/capitol-breach-cases

This isn't completely up to date - the information for Taylor Johnatakis, the sovereign citizen just found guilty of lots of things, was last updated August 6, 2021. It's still pretty interesting.

How David Tepper could save everything with one piece of paper

FM: About 200 million loyal Americans
TO: David Tepper, Owner of the Carolina Panthers
SUBJ: Have we got a deal for you!
DTG: Right Now!

Dear Mr. Tepper:
I can show you, right now, how to save both your beloved country and your beloved football team with one stroke of a pen.

Interested? I knew you would be.

Your Panthers have played the first nine games of their season and…well, to say “the Panthers suck” is an understatement. Sir, the stadium walls bow in when your team takes the field, they suck so bad. And you know this.

Wanna know how to fix it? Read on.

Tommy Tuberville was a reasonably good college football coach if…well, you can find it in your heart to forget he went non-Bowl-eligible for the first time in the history of Bowl seeding and lost to Alabama in a 36-0 shutout back in 2008. Today he’s the Ron Rivera of senators. Thanks to Senator Tuberville the Army has about three generals left because he’s blocked any new ones from coming aboard.

Here’s where you come in. You hire Tommy Tuberville to coach the Panthers, effective now. Governor Kay Ivey replaces him with a random name out of the Talladega phone book. You start winning football games. The Army gets new generals. It’ll be a win for both of us.

Thanks in advance.
