i’m curious. i have a beef w a local biz. tho i’ve done business w them before, i checked their yelp this time. mostly glowing but 2-3 citing a specific problem.
the owner was actively responding to all, and offering to work w the unhappies.
well, i had the same issue. and i’m pretty pissed about it. so i went back to look at the bad reviews, and they’re gone.
i’m guessing he reached out, and made them happy. was taking down the review a condition of a refund?
since the reviews r so glowing, i assume. maybe made them sign an nda.
i wonder how many others he managed to disappear. i plan to take him to small claims court. i thought i’d warn him, and give him 30 days to pay up. i might anyway just to see how he handles it.
anyone else have similar experiences? is this y some ppl look so squeaky clean? i’ve always taken that stuff w a grain of salt, but damn, so sketchy!
well, i got a text from my ex last night that i've been dreading.
time is short for dr doom, 1 of the best dogs ever. a 100lb bundle of love. he wouldnt get up for food or water.
he was supposed to b his dog, but u know dogs. he didnt know that. but through some convoluted circumstances, he ended up w him. i’m not mad about that. he ended up having a great dog life. living in mich, on a lake, w a boat dock to jump off.
after the split, i bought him a pair of bionic hips. i got stuck w the tab, that we were supposed to split. but it’s all good. he’s a great dog who deserved the best.
he’s 12 1/2, and up until recently was doing well.
it hits harder cuz biff is his half brother and only 6 mos younger. he’s high on the list of the best dogs i’ve had. even tho i havent seen him in years, i’ll miss him.
sure do wish i cd see him 1 more time, tho.

well, hell. restarted my voice lessons saturday.
i’ve been over hiatus after getting rly broke, owing him a lot of money, which he refused to keep track of. paid him back, but have had a lot going on. we did ft, but he’s back to inperson, and saturday was the 1st time. i’m way rustier than i thought i was, but it was ok.
we’re at the point where my big issue is breath control. not sure how well that’s gonna go, cuz when we hugged goodbye, there was a big popping sound. dont know y it took this long to start hurting, but yeah, def cracked a rib. i think this makes 10, tho 1 incident was- 4-5 cant rly tell. cracked the whole bottom section.
i guess i rly am dangerous. to myself. lol.
i adore this guy, and his wife. i’ll b getting lesson free, cuz his wife needs a promoter. she has 3 different productions she does, including loose chicks story tellers, who i’ve performed w once. brought her some pages and she loved what i’m working on now. (working title- love letters to crazy men) another group she has is beast women, who put out a call for auditions recently. i’m not exactly sure what they do, but it’s storytelling, plus. she also does burlesque shows. and she’s a rly good jazz singer.
i have a pretty good voice, but sure dont hold a candle to her. hoping to rope her into some duets in lessons, tho.
wont get paid but there will b some commissions, etc. and likely get to perform at least sometimes.
and i get to spend time w 2 of the best ppl i know.
i dont usually bother w docs at this point. they can do nothing. but might hit the minute clinic, and get some better drugs, cuz ibuprofen isnt cutting it. wd b fun to have a pic, too.
i tell ya tho- 1 step forward, 2 steps back. story of my life.

these is absolutely the sleaziest and stupidest idea of all the vote stealing ideas yet.
they wanted to throw out the ‘bible’. i just did my training in cook co, and man, i cant imagine. it was 4 hrs of just pouring facts into 50 heads at once. a fair amount of that undoubtedly fell out the ears.
u can run 1 polling place w/o the bible, let alone a whole county.

she’s shown zero aggression to other dogs, only wants to play. tho she was a pita about it.
she’s working alongside multiple other dogs, and performing like the rockstar she is. now she gets to have the happy life she deserves. and i get to stop worrying.
i cant tell u how heartbreaking this whole thing has been. i thought i had the perfect pup til the fights broke out. the 3 mos of trying to manage them here, not that successfully, had me at the ragged edge. the 1st few days at the trainers, i was ready to kill someone. jenn told me later- no, i love that. i love that u will fight for your dog.
yeah, we’ll need a big box of tissues tomorrow.
we do get 7 follow up 1-1’s, so she’ll get to see her. if i ever get a vacay, i know where she’ll b going. and i’ll flip for the extra few bucks for some training.
my only worry now is that she’ll run away and join the circus. she’s a born performer.

i like moobs. esp furry 1s. a former partner w a lovely pair got mad when i called them moobs. but breasts is of limited usefulness in this sitch, rt?

In Rappahannock County, where my farm is, even telephone calls are problematic without high-speed internet. Cellular coverage is spotty, and the old landlines frequently go out when it rains, leaving people entirely isolated. County supervisors told me of an elderly resident with a medical emergency who had no internet service and no dial tone on their landline, so they had to drive to a place where there was cellular reception just to dial 911.
Likewise, distance learning during the pandemic was excruciating in Rappahannock, where most of the 900 public school students lacked reliable internet. Parents would idle their cars in the county library’s parking lot after hours so their children could use the library’s WiFi to send in homework. Web access was so limited during those times that one of the local internet service providers asked customers to ration their internet usage.
But all this is about to change — in Rappahannock and in the rest of rural America.
