LetMyPeopleVote's JournalJudge declines Kemp's request to pause absentee ballot injunction
Secretary of State Brian Kemp had requested that U.S. District Court Judge Leigh Martin May stay the injunction she issued last week while Kemps legal team appeals the decision regarding signature mismatches to a higher court.
In an order filed late Tuesday a week before Election Day May said she would not do so. She wrote that granting a stay would only cause confusion, as Secretary Kemp has already issued guidance in accordance with the injunction to county elections officials.
The Court finds that the public interest is best served by allowing qualified absentee voters to vote and have their votes counted, May wrote.

Source: CNN
Former White House Counsel Don McGahn ended his tumultuous tenure at the White House with one last encounter in which President Donald Trump blamed him for Robert Mueller's appointment, sources close to McGahn tell CNN.
In a face-to-face meeting Oval Office meeting, the President groused to McGahn about Mueller's appointment made on McGahn's watch as White House counsel, and the cloud the investigation has continued to cast over the presidency, the people familiar with the conversation said.
Sources say while the President was fixated on Mueller, he also gave McGahn high marks for other matters during his time as the top White House lawyer, as CNN previously reported. One source said the President's continued frustration about Mueller is another example of him shifting blame for the ongoing Russia investigation.
McGahn had decided it was time to go and he left before the background investigation was complete for the incoming White House counsel Pat Cipollone, one source familiar said.

A group of Jewish leaders told President Trump that he is no longer welcome in Pittsburgh until he denounces white nationalism following the shooting at a synagogue there over the weekend.
Eleven members of the Pittsburgh affiliate of Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice penned a letter to Trump following the Saturday shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue.
Our Jewish community is not the only group you have targeted, the group wrote. You have also deliberately undermined the safety of people of color, Muslims, LGBTQ people, and people with disabilities. Yesterdays massacre is not the first act of terror you incited against a minority group in our country.
Trump was fiercely criticized after he failed to condemn white supremacy and asserted that there is blame on both sides after last years white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va.

Election commission ordered to let voters correct applications, vote normally on Election Day
Source: Memphis Commercial Appeal
Chancellor JoeDae Jenkins ordered the Shelby County Election Commission to allow people with incomplete voter registration applications to fix any deficiencies and vote regularly on Election Day. Its a system already being used during early voting, but one the commission has said is unfeasible and even inconsistent with state law.
The ruling also contradicts a letter sent to all county election commissions earlier Thursday, telling them to use provisional ballots for people whose names dont show up on the registration list, including people who submitted incomplete registration forms.
The provisional ballot process applies to any person whose name does not appear on the voter registration list or poll book, regardless of the reason why, wrote Mark Goins, coordinator of elections.
