I'll Stand By You

Lyrics
Oh, why you look so sad?
Tears are in your eyes
Come on and come to me now
Don't be ashamed to cry
Let me see you through
'Cause I've seen the dark side too
When the night falls on you
You don't know what to do
Nothing you confess
Could make me love you less
I'll stand by you
I'll stand by you
Won't let nobody hurt you
I'll stand by you
So if you're mad, get mad
Don't hold it all inside
Come on and talk to me now
Hey, what you got to hide?
I get angry too
Well I'm a lot like you
You're standing at the crossroads
And don't know which path to choose
Let me come along
'Cause even if you're wrong
I'll stand by you
I'll stand by you
Won't let nobody hurt you
I'll stand by you
Take me in, into your darkest hour
And I'll never desert you
I'll stand by you
And when
When the night falls on you, baby
You're feeling all alone
You won't be on your own
I'll stand by you
I'll stand by you
Won't let nobody hurt you
I'll stand by you
Take me in, into your darkest hour
And I'll never desert you
I'll stand by you
I'll stand by you
Won't let nobody hurt you
I'll stand by you
Won't let nobody hurt you
I'll stand by you

OH's Screaming Zombie, Melissa Ackison, is running as a Republican for State Senate

Republican Melissa Ackison was among about 100 protesters outside the Statehouse during DeWine’s appearance inside on Monday.

A Ohio Senate candidate took part in a protest Monday of Gov. Mike DeWine's handling of the coronavirus shutdown, accusing the fellow Republican of fear-mongering and calling him a tyrant.

About 100 protesters gathered outside the Statehouse during DeWine's appearance at his daily news conference inside. At least one protester wore a Donald Trump hat, and many carried signs expressing opposition to the governor's stay-at-home order or waved American flags.

In the crowd was Melissa Ackison, a Republican from Marysville running for the open District 26 seat. She said she agrees with Trump's assertion that the president has authority over state governors in deciding to lift restrictions on the economy.

snip

"Patriots who love and respect our liberties and the Constitution are sick and tired of the fear-mongering while the governor and (state Health Director) Dr. (Amy) Acton continue to hide the numbers from the public."

********

BTW Amy Acton has been doing a very good job on C-19 as has Gov. Mike DeWine too.

Do you hate Trump and want him beaten? Go buy some stamps. And then vote by mail.

2 books are about $22.00. Trump is saying that the post office has no money so please go
buy some stamps to stick it to him. By buying stamps (and not using all of them) we can
turn the Post Office's deficit into a surplus.

If everybody who hates Trump and the damage he has done to America and the world would
just go and buy some stamps then we can beat that "Orange Hellbeast." BTW it would make
Donny really mad too because one of his firewalls to try to stay in power is to keep people
voting on machines where "they" can cheat but "they" can't do that w/mail in ballots.

This is not my idea but please pass it on.

Anybody "twitter handy?" #stampouttrump

Trump is the biggest fuck up in history. And all his rage and spluttering will not change that.

I might be wrong but Trump could lose all 50 states. His help in making sick 100s millions of people,
killing 10s millions of people world wide, as America falls into a depression/recession, and now he is
pushing his hydroxychloroquine snake oil so that he, Jared, and his jailed lawyer Cohen can make
money off of that toxic crap. We and the world should not be going through this C-19 hellscape right
now but Putin put him into the White House and Trump pulled the biggest fuck up of all times in his
handling of C-19. For the love of dog we were part of an international team, Predict, (the black guy's idea)
that had a lab and scientists on the ground in Wuhan, China until Sept. 2019 and they were looking for
coronaviruses but Trump pulled the funding for the organization. The world wide cost for the international
teams was just about the same as we have paid for Trump to go golfing all those time.

Trump rages because he knows he is caught and the CBS reporter had him dead to rights because he
did nothing for 2 + months as the C-19 was coming. BTW I think he knew about it (C-19) in Nov. of
2019 because that was when our intel picked it up.

Sorry to

For the love of dog please make it stop. The man is talking about his ratings and the media's ratings?
This is not a fucking reality show.

This MIGHT be good news on vaccines for coronavirus.

COVID-19 Vaccine Candidate Shows Promise

PITTSBURGH – University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine scientists today announced a potential vaccine against SARS-CoV-2, the new coronavirus causing the COVID-19 pandemic. When tested in mice, the vaccine, delivered through a fingertip-sized patch, produces antibodies specific to SARS-CoV-2 at quantities thought to be sufficient for neutralizing the virus.

The paper appeared today in EBioMedicine, which is published by The Lancet, and is the first study to be published after critique from fellow scientists at outside institutions that describes a candidate vaccine for COVID-19. The researchers were able to act quickly because they had already laid the groundwork during earlier coronavirus epidemics.

snip

The researchers also used a novel approach to deliver the drug, called a microneedle array, to increase potency. This array is a fingertip-sized patch of 400 tiny needles that delivers the spike protein pieces into the skin, where the immune reaction is strongest. The patch goes on like a Band-Aid and then the needles — which are made entirely of sugar and the protein pieces — simply dissolve into the skin.

snip

The system also is highly scalable. The protein pieces are manufactured by a “cell factory” — layers upon layers of cultured cells engineered to express the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein — that can be stacked further to multiply yield. Purifying the protein also can be done at industrial scale. Mass-producing the microneedle array involves spinning down the protein-sugar mixture into a mold using a centrifuge. Once manufactured, the vaccine can sit at room temperature until it’s needed, eliminating the need for refrigeration during transport or storage.

snip

When tested in mice, PittCoVacc generated a surge of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 within two weeks of the microneedle prick.

He is just fucking nutz and or lying and or just making shit up.

Where does Trump get the figure of that he stopped 2,000,000 cases of C-19 with his actions?

Where all the Drs. who are calling to thank him for his work and their medical supplies?

What countries are calling him to find out how come he is doing such a great job?

Damn I hurt. "And daddy won't you take me back to Muhlenberg County"

I went to school in S.E. OH and studied the coal fields and what they did and John touched me.

I know John has had his health issues but this just stings. I went to school S.E. OH
aka Appalachia and John's music touched me.

"And daddy won't you take me back to Muhlenberg County
Down by the green river where paradise lay?"
"Well, I'm sorry my son, but you're too late in asking
Mister Peabody's coal train has hauled it away"

skip

When I die let my ashes float down the Green River
Let my soul roll on up to the Rochester dam
I'll be halfway to Heaven with paradise waitin'
Just five miles away from wherever I am

Yes, this is all Trump's fault; David Frum counts the ways

Trump now fancies himself a “wartime president.” How is his war going? By the end of March, the coronavirus had killed more Americans than the 9/11 attacks. By the first weekend in April, the virus had killed more Americans than any single battle of the Civil War. By Easter, it may have killed more Americans than the Korean War. On the present trajectory, it will kill, by late April, more Americans than Vietnam. Having earlier promised that casualties could be held near zero, Trump now claims he will have done a “very good job” if the toll is held below 200,000 dead.

That the pandemic occurred is not Trump’s fault. The utter unpreparedness of the United States for a pandemic is Trump’s fault. The loss of stockpiled respirators to breakage because the federal government let maintenance contracts lapse in 2018 is Trump’s fault. The failure to store sufficient protective medical gear in the national arsenal is Trump’s fault. That states are bidding against other states for equipment, paying many multiples of the precrisis price for ventilators, is Trump’s fault. Air travelers summoned home and forced to stand for hours in dense airport crowds alongside infected people? That was Trump’s fault too. Ten weeks of insisting that the coronavirus is a harmless flu that would miraculously go away on its own? Trump’s fault too.

The lying about the coronavirus by hosts on Fox News and conservative talk radio is Trump’s fault: They did it to protect him. The false hope of instant cures and nonexistent vaccines is Trump’s fault, because he told those lies to cover up his failure to act in time. The severity of the economic crisis is Trump’s fault; things would have been less bad if he had acted faster instead of sending out his chief economic adviser and his son Eric to assure Americans that the first stock-market dips were buying opportunities. The firing of a Navy captain for speaking truthfully about the virus’s threat to his crew? Trump’s fault. The fact that so many key government jobs were either empty or filled by mediocrities? Trump’s fault. The insertion of Trump’s arrogant and incompetent son-in-law as commander in chief of the national medical supply chain? Trump’s fault.

It didn’t have to be this way. If somebody else had been president of the United States in December 2019—Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, Mike Pence, really almost anybody else—the United States would still have been afflicted by the coronavirus. But it would have been better prepared, and better able to respond.Through the early weeks of the pandemic, when so much death and suffering could still have been prevented or mitigated, Trump joined passivity to fantasy.
