Clinton Uses Pence’s Debate Words Against Him In Stunning New Ad
Less than 12 hours after the debates conclusion, Clintons campaign released a scathing ad which pits Pences denials from Tuesday night against video and audio of Trump actually saying and doing the things Pence denied.
Clinton said, Even Mike Pence couldnt defend the terrible things Trumps said and done so instead, he lied about them.

Gary Johnson trashes leaders who know geography: ‘It allows them to put our military in harm’s way’
Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson suggested on Tuesday that the United States would be less likely to engage in foreign conflicts if its president did not have a firm grasp on world geography.
During an interview on MSNBC, Johnson became testy as he defended a series of recent foreign policy gaffes, including not knowing about the Syrian city of Aleppo and being unable to name a single foreign leader.
Talking about a foreign leader I respect, I have a hard time with that one, Johnson told MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell. Thats just who I am. And now Im going to have to pick out a world leader and theres going to be something wrong with them. And now Im going to have to defend them! Well, maybe I think too much.
You are running to be commander-in-chief, Mitchell reminded the candidate.
Yeah, and you know what? Johnson trumpeted back. The fact that somebody can dot the is and cross the ts on a foreign leader or a geographic location then allows them to put our military in harms way!

Cold hearted Mike Pence refuses to pardon a man wrongly convicted and proven innocent
n a growing list of heartless Mike Pence actions, the Indiana governor has now denied a pardon for a man wrongly convicted and now proven innocent.
A BuzzFeed report, details the sad history of Keith Cooper, who served 10 years of a 40-year sentence after being misidentified. In 2008 shooting victim Michael Kershner and his mother, Nona Canell filmed statements and admitted they were wrong. This came after new DNA evidence was found and a jail informant admitted he lied. Canell asked investigators multiple times to see a lineup of potential suspects because she couldnt be sure. An Elkhart Police detective promised her that they had the right guy. They didnt.
We are really disappointed in Governor Pences failure to provide justice to an innocent man. Its clear that he has punted the petition to the next Governor because its election season, Coopers attorney Elliot Slosar said.
Pences office said in a statement it hasnt exactly made a final decision but slammed Coopers attorneys claiming they needed to do a better job.

NYT might be sitting on more tax documents - from Raw Story
Uh oh: New York Times reporter hints more bombshell Trump tax documents are coming
The author of a stunning New York Times report on Trumps tax returns suggested on Sunday that more bombshell stories could be coming in the near future.
Over the weekend, the Times reported that a $916 million loss declared on Trumps 1995 tax returns could have allowed the billionaire to avoid paying federal income taxes for nearly two decades.
Speaking to CNNs Brian Stelter on Sunday, Times reporter Susanne Craig explained how Trumps former accountant was able to verify tax documents that had been provided by an anonymous source.
Stelter noted that Fox News had accused the Times of trying to take down Donald Trump with shoddy reporting.

Video Shows Carolina Cop Violently Arrest Black Man For Sitting On His Porch
City council members in Greensboro, North Carolina voted this week to strip the law enforcement credentials of a police officer who is accused of violently arresting a man sitting on his porch after body camera footage of the arrest was made public.
The council voted unanimously Monday to permanently sanction Officer Travis Cole for using excessive force during the June arrest. The body camera footage shows Cole roughly throwing Dejuan Yourse to the floor of the porch and punching him as Yourse waited for his mom to come home and let him into the house, according to local news WREG.

I'm really looking forward to the Pence/Kaine debate Tues
Pence is so crazy out of the mainstream (esp with his cremation and burial law for aborted and miscarried fetuses). He once described himself as "Rush Limbough on decaf" - how gross is that. God I hope Kaine kicks his ass.
Everything you need to know about the 2016 vice presidential debate
Who will moderate the vice presidential debate?
Elaine Quijano of CBS News will be the debates sole moderator. She is a correspondent for CBS News and an anchor for CBSN, the digital streaming network for CBS. This election, Quijano covered 2016 debates and both the Republican and Democratic national conventions for CBS. In 2011, Quijano revealed in a CBS Evening News report that the White House did not send condolence letters to the families of military personnel who had committed suicide. That report spurred the Obama administration to reverse that policy.
Quijano, a Chicago-area native of Filipino descent, is also the first Asian American moderator for a general election debate.
What is the format of the vice presidential debate?
The debate is divided into nine 10 minute segments. Quijano will start each segment with an opening question and then Kaine and Pence will each have two minutes to respond. Quijano will also use the leftover time in each segment to dive deeper into the discussion topic.

It doesn’t jive’: Ex-LAPD sergeant slams Charlotte police’s story about killing Keith Scott
The video is not conclusive with regard to what the officers statements are, Dorsey said. She said that she did not observe any furtive movements on Scotts part, nor any evidence of criminal activity serious enough to warrant the officers leaving their previous post, donning police vests and moving in for an arrest.
This thing could have been handled so differently, she said, explaining that the officers who left their surveillance position should have radioed for a squad car and maintained their position and cover.
She went on, I dont smoke marijuana and I dont roll joints, but I do know that all that activity happens in your lap. So Im not sure how these officers were able from their position seated in their car to see Mr. Scott rolling a joint and then conclude thats criminal activity occurring thats so egregious and outrageous that they need to leave their post and deal with that.

Obama: once out of office, I’m gonna stop being polite and start getting real (like an activist)
Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin has a great new interview with President Obama in Vanity Fair. In the wide-ranging interview, they discuss Abraham Lincoln, Obamas biggest regrets from his time in office, and how a visit to the pyramids reminded Obama that cable news doesnt really matter.
But perhaps the most intriguing bit was when, in a brief discussion of Obamas plans for his post-presidency, Obama hinted that he planned to start speaking out more like an activist than a president.
There are things, he told Goodwin, that in some ways I suspect Im able to do better out of this office. He elaborated that because of the institutional constraints of the presidency, there are things I cannot say.

Police Accidentally Record Themselves Conspiring to Fabricate Criminal Charges Against Protester
The ACLU of Connecticut is suing state police for fabricating retaliatory criminal charges against a protester after troopers were recorded discussing how to trump up charges against him. In what seems like an unlikely stroke of cosmic karma, the recording came about after a camera belonging to the protester, Michael Picard, was illegally seized by a trooper who didnt know that it was recording and carried it back to his patrol car, where it then captured the troopers plotting.
Lets give him something, one trooper declared. Another suggested, we can hit him with creating a public disturbance. Gotta cover our ass, remarked a third.
