Richard Sherman was Mice'd vs Crabtree
Source: huffington Post
It may have been sportsmanship that got Richard Sherman into trouble rather than a lack of it. The Seattle Seahawks' All-Pro cornerback was fitted with a microphone for the NFC Championship Game and audio released by the NFL on Wednesday night sheds light on the heated moments before he delivered the boastful and rancorous postgame interview that stole the spotlight from his team's victory.
Sherman helped seal his team's spot in Super Bowl XLVIII by deflecting a pass intended for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree with just 22 seconds remaining in the NFC title tilt. After the victory-securing deflection, Sherman got to his feet and again chased down Crabtree. As the wide receiver was walking back toward the 49ers' sideline, Sherman slapped him on the butt and said "Hell of a game!" Sherman repeated those words and extended his hand to Crabtree. Rather than accepting the handshake, Crabtree shoved Sherman. He pushed his left hand into Sherman's facemask.

Now all you Sherman bashers, How about an apology to us defenders. He was the good guy. I heard this last night on "Inside the NFL" and I said why hasn't anybody reported this.
Thank you Commissioner Goodell
There is something beautiful to make the fake fans who attend the Superbowl to have to sit outside in NY in February. I hope it is effin' freezing with some snow coming down.
New years day football ruined
thank you BCS and the SEC. It was so great when the college season ended on Jan 1 with the Orange bowl and many of the games meant something. Now they mean nothing.
ACA a good story-Obama cares
I just spoke to a coworker and this is who the ACA is for. His mother has become disabled and her monthly premium was more than she was getting in her disability payment. No "insurance company" would offer her insurance because of her preexisting condition. Some fly by night insurance company picked her up and she was paying through her nose just so she could get her medications. It took her 3 weeks to register but once she saw what her insurance was going to cost with the subsidies she started to cry. She is so happy now. She can actually live again.
Segregated colleges
Parents of kids in colleges chime in. Many schools like UGA( not southern bashing) make all freshman stay on campus the first year. There is no commuting to these schools. The consequence is that many poorer kids simply can't afford to attend these schools. This is defacto segregation and I think it goes on all over the country. Anyone else see this happening.
"American by birth southern by the grace of God"
I've watched as our fellow DU'ers have discussed the south. I think you can best understand a region on what is permitted. I have lived in Atlanta for a very long time. My parents came here in 1973. I have lived here since "82. I also lived here for 1 year in 1976. I have also sold cash registers in every small town in N. Georgia from Rome, to Macon to Dalton and even Warner Robins and Gray. The next time you stop in DQ in Dalton those are my cash registers.
It is my observation that the south is loyal to the region more that the nation. That saying in the title says it all. I have lived in Denver, SF, upstate NY and NYC. I visit Chicago all the time as my in-laws are from there. There is nowhere in the country that is loyal to their region over the country. Only the south.
The great migration to the U.S. was all up north. People had to become Americans as they were all first generation. Their loyalty is with the country. Because there was no migration to the south they stayed loyal to the region. That is why robert E. Lee fought for the south. He was loyal to the region.
As far as what is permissible. My kids go the UGA. My son's frat is the most diverse at the school with "even" an African American. Their nickname is Delta nig.
Fraternity row displays confederate flags. These are not rural people. They are the best students in GA and many are from the suburbs of Atlanta. My son will not take his best friend(African American) back to school with him to visit.
This behavior is permitted. I can not imagine any other region in this country that would allow this type of behavior.
Because of this loyalty to region the south in my opinion should never be allowed to control our economic destiny. They always think in terms of their region first and the country second. That is why their model has always been to steal businesses from other places in the country.
Number one rule in sales and electoral politics-Ted Cruz and Rand Paul
I have been selling for a long time and people have to like you. Ted and Rand you both need a personality transplant.
zzzzzzz- soccer on
I watched the first half of the USA-Mexico match. Maybe it's me but I don't get the attraction. Whenever I hear about how much running they do I scratch my head. There are short bursts of speed but there is a lot of standing around. Go watch a basketball game and each player is moving a lot more. Now I know there are timeouts but I think individuals move more in basketball. Can anyone explain the attraction?
