workinclasszero's JournalBernie Sanders has flipped a grand total of zero superdelegates so far
By Chris Cillizza June 7
Here's a telling exchange between MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell and Jeff Weaver, manager of Bernie Sanders's campaign, on Tuesday afternoon:
Mitchell: "Have you flipped any superdelegates yet?
Weaver: "No."
The entirety of Sanders's remaining chances in this race such as they are rest on persuading large numbers of superdelegates to switch from supporting Hillary Clinton to supporting him. Without such a broad-scale switcheroo, Sanders loses. Because of math.
This is that math. Clinton has 1,812 pledged delegates and 572 superdelegates, according to NBC's calculations. Add it up and you get 2,383 a simple majority of all available delegates. Hence, the race is over.

Today in Bernie Sanders Hypocrisy
Superdelegates are bad, but they used to be good, and they'll be good again if they vote for him at the Convention.
BY JACK HOLMES
Bernie Sanders doesn't like superdelegates. Neither do members of Bernie's staff, nor Bernie's legions of supporters. Superdelegates are unelected, unaccountable, undemocratic. These party elites, who get to vote however they want, shouldn't be counted in assessments of the Democratic primary race. Superdelegates "don't count until they vote, and they don't vote until we get to the convention," Bernie's campaign manager, Jeff Weaver, said on CNN last month.
But, as The Hill reminds us, Sanders didn't always sing the same tune. On June 5, 2008two days after the last state voted, but before Hillary Clinton dropped outSanders pledged his support to then-Senator Barack Obama in an interview with The Burlington Free-Press. The Vermont senator had customarily held off endorsing anyone, the paper explained, until the party had chosen a nominee.
Except that Obama was not yet the nominee.

About the APs call here. There is an argument to be made that news organizations shouldnt automatically include superdelegate counts, since theyre, by definition, not officially committed, and could change their minds like many did in 2008, when it was clear that Obama was overtaking Hillary (key word there is overtaking). And its true that if there is some unforeseen catastrophe, like Hillary is found guilty of murdering JFK with Ted Cruzs dad before the convention, the supers could overturn the will of the people and decide to #FeelTheBern.
Thats why they exist, actually! For crisis moments, NOT for overturning the will of the people. Otherwise, when it is obvious who the winner will be, they just follow the will of the people. Thats why the APs call here is safe.

The 16th looks like a million years from now
And filled with wild eyed, foaming at the mouth conspiracy theories and stories direct from free republic about Hillary eating babies and kicking puppies and being the focus of all evil on planet earth.
I don't know if I have the stomach for it TBH.
I mean we belong to a party that elected the first black president and nominated the first female, but do we celebrate that? Oh HELL naw!
This site is a combo of free republic/briebart/rush limbaugh hate 24/7 and will be till the 16th when supposedly it will return to being a democratic party support site. I have doubts about that ever happening. We will see.
Will the madness ever end?
Let the record show: The AP called it for Hillary first!
And history was made!!!!!
First female to win the nomination of a major party in the USA!!!!!!
