"That baby wasn't having any of it and wanted to make an early appearance."

Police in Seattle pulled over a car for speeding and running a red light early Sunday, but instead of handing the driver a ticket, they ended up delivering a baby.

As it turns out, the driver was rushing to bring his wife to the hospital as she was in labor, according to Seattle Police Blotter, the department's official blog

The police called for an ambulance, but the baby had other plans.

"That baby wasn't having any of it and wanted to make an early appearance so our officers certainly earned their pay today," police spokesperson Sgt. Sean Whitcomb told KING 5 News, the local NBC station.

Trick Huff Post usees to get you to like Jeb Bush.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/

Right now and often the Huff Post has pictures of Jeb Bush. All those pictures of him have a presidential look. Looking up at him, or looking quite presidential. There is a certain positive look. Don't believe it go there now and look. Huff Post is a picture site, the pictures tell the story. Now look at the picture of Bernie at Huff post. All the pictures of Bernie have him with his mouth open and not looking presidential..go and look now.
.Every picture of JBush..has had that look for the last 6 months..Every one...It is not a mistake. I have seen this.. This site favors Bush over the clown car..The pictures of the clown car residents often look kinda silly. That is what this site wants you and everyone who visits there to think. That is what Huff Post is. Almost all the pictures of Bernie have a negative look. Check it out if you don't believe me..

DU is a great place to learn about ideas of all kinds from an incredible number of sources.

It is one of the reasons I really like DU.. There are so many different sources, and so many different topics.... It is just like being in a huge library where you pick up the magazines and other resources with the push of a button. Also, there are many ideas generated by those who frequent DU. We share in presenting the research, and in share in presenting our ideas. This place can be educational, as well as fun. I try not to take the arguments too seriously, because that could ruin my day. Just look at all the topics and groups and the number of links posted here. Incredible!

... Overall, DU is my favorite place to go on the internet.

Why Fox News is Much Worse Than We Thought.

Fox News ( ) exaggerates and lies about many things. That is what it does. The people that do the exaggerating and lying know what they are doing, and it is ok to the bosses there. It is what the boss wants and it is good for the boss and his station.

2nd. Fox News encourages people to come on their cable news and do exactly the same. Lying and exaggerating. Over and over again guests are put on a national cable network to send out their exaggerations and lies.

3rd Through this encouragement and publicity, others lie and exaggerate about stupid and idiotic ideas because at least at one national cable network it is ok and allowed. These exaggerators and liars may not have any connection at Fox News, but because it is ok at their favorite station, it is ok, so they exaggerate and lie,

4th. In a way, Fox News legitimizes exaggeration and lies. If Fox does it, it is ok

5th...As a result. of 1 - 4 above.., we now have some idiots and exaggerators getting national publicity about the federal governments plans to take over (what ever that is) the state of Texas. What is that about???????????

The origins of the political terms, "Right and Left"

The idea of a political "left" and "right" originated during the French Revolution. (1789)

Simply put, those in favor of change and getting rid of the king and his structure, sat on the left side of the assembly. Those that wanted the most change were furthest left of the center..
If you were with the king's way of doing things ,and keeping things exactly the same, you sat on the right side of the assembly. Those strongest with the king, sat farthest right.

.. Also, those who were in favor of changes toward democracy allowing others to participate, vote, and have a voice in government, (like had occurred within the new United States in 1776) and having an open government, also sat on the left side of the assembly. The more in favor of change, the more left you were. That is the origin of the political terms, "left" and "right"

I am proud to be a "leftist" in favor of "open" government and inclusion in the process of the most people possible.

The more people that vote, the better. The more we know about the government, the better. No secret deals. Everyone gets treated as fair as possible. The more open the government is about what it does, the better..

Those in the government do not get any kind special treatment. All people in the country get..."fair and equal treatment" The leaders friends get the same treatment as the poorest people in the country. Big contributors and bigshots..get no special treatment.

About Stuart G

I thought I knew a lot, and I found out... how little I knew about what I know. And how much more there is to learn, if I listen and read what others have to say.
