A thought about Donald Trump the liar. He lies to everyone, including himself.

..If he thinks he can get away with this, I think he is totally wrong. His whole attitude is no matter what happens, "I will get away with it". His lawyer who helped him, "get away with it" is now in prison as are many others who helped him, "get away with it." Donald Trump can think what he wants, but I believe exactly the same thing as many others have said, "He will not get away with it"
..History says that Nixon thought the same thing, up to the last few months. I listened to a lecture by Woodward and Bernstein. I was there in person for the lecture in late 74 or early 75. They said that at the very end, as things got bad, Nixon was talking to the walls. I think that Trump will do the same, or is already doing the same thing. (Did he really send out that picture of himself as Rocky that we saw earlier in the day?)

What is your impression of Adam Schiff? Something inside of me says he will get Trump.

One way or another. I don't know the best way, but if there is a way, he will find it. It won't be pretty, but I hope it works. Also, I do think Adam knows what is at stake during the hearings. We will see. Also, I respect him greatly. The hearings are fair and honest.

U.S. Life Expectancy Still On the Decline. Here's Why CNN:

https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/26/health/us-life-expectancy-decline-study/index.html

.

Life expectancy at birth -- the average length of time that you are expected to live -- continues to drop for Americans, a new study finds. Drug overdoses, suicides, alcohol-related illnesses and obesity are largely to blame. These problems have been building since the 1980s, according to the study's authors.

The US had been making steady progress. Life expectancy increased by nearly 10 years over the last half century -- from 69.9 years in 1959, to 78.9 years in 2016.

But the pace of this increase slowed over time, while other high income countries continued to show a steady rise in life expectancy.

After 2010, US life expectancy plateaued and in 2014 it began reversing, dropping for three consecutive years -- from 78.9 years in 2014, to 78.6 in 2017. This is despite the US spending the most on health care per capita than any other country in the world.

Of all age groups, adults 25 to 64 years old saw the largest increase in mortality rates -- 6% -- according to the study, published Tuesday in the medical journal JAMA.

Key sentence:
"Drug overdoses, suicides, alcohol-related illnesses and obesity are largely to blame. These problems have been building since the 1980s, according to the study's authors."

comment: I used to be addicted to certain prescription drugs. I got off them more than 20 years ago. In the late 70s, I weighed 50 pounds more than I do now. I lost that over a couple of years, and kept it all off since then. It isn't easy, but I know what the results will be if I go back.

IMDB, Internet Movie Data Base...has changed ..It is not the same as it was last week.

Yes, the reviews are the same. I checked out a review I made for a documentary, "Night and Fog". The review is still there, but the main page has changed as has the way you navigate the site. Getting to any particular spot, is difficult for me. It is as if it has taken a whole new look and function. This was a reliable site for me to read reviews for new as well as older movies. The reviews are still there, but the place is not the same.
...Now it is about TV shows, entertainment more and more. I would be interested to hear and see what you have to say. I have been going there for years, and something has changed a whole lot. It is not a change for the good in my opinion...Thank You for reading this.

Why are they so blatantly brazen? Interesting Question.

This question was brought up by OhNo-Really in another thread..
You can find that question at the link directly below, ....4th comment from the top:

Title of above post....CNN Busts Nunes - Watch Clip

The answer is very simple: They think they are going to get away with it
Yes, and some of them do get away with it. One example:

Jim Jordan, House of Representative from Ohio, current member of Impeachment Committee.

Jim Jordan heard about a whole lot of awful events when he coached at Ohio State.
He did not report it to the authorities. He kind of shrugged it off. Or, he claimed he didn't know.
One question .........Did he get away with it?

Example number 2...
Donald Trump talks about taking advantage of women with ...let's call it..
..Sex aggression language Bragging about what he did & can do, and.. Did he get away with it?
..What is Donald Trump's current job? Up to today,.....Did he get away with saying that?
___________________________________________________________________________________

Now, these slime creatures, need to learn they will not ..."..get away with it." When some of these get put away in prison, or defeated in elections, then maybe they will learn they can't get away with it. A note from history: In 1974, 45 years ago a bunch of crooks went to prison and couldn't .."get away with it", Watergate.

They also thought that they could get away with it.

..It is obvious that these slime balls need to be taught a lesson every so often so they learn that...."They cannot get away with it...."

My last question is...How often is..."every so often"?

"She wouldn't hang my picture." is today's version of, "I am not a crook"

Yes, indeed Mr. Trump came up with his own quote. Just like Mr. Nixon. Words that will live forever that define him in ways that are totally unbelievable. Yes, just those five simple words............................
..........."She wouldn't hang my picture" ....easy to remember, simple and stupid....just like........
........... " I am not a crook." ....Just 5 words say it all. Mr. Trump has defined himself forever.!!!

Trump: "She wouldn't hang my picture, Trump again hits out at U.S. Ambassador" Irish Times

Source: Irish Times, Dublin

US president Donald Trump has continued his attacks on ousted US ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch and other witnesses in the House impeachment inquiry into whether he abused his office to pressure Ukraine to announce an investigation into political rivals.

"The ambassador, the woman" was an "Obama person", Mr Trump said in a phone interview with the Fox and Friends programme on Friday morning. "I said, why are you being so kind? Well, sir, she's a woman, we have to be nice. She's very tough, I heard bad things."

"This ambassador, that everybody says is so wonderful, she wouldn't hang my picture in the embassy, okay?'' Mr Trump said. "She's in charge of the embassy. She wouldn't hang it. It took like a year and a half or two years to get the picture up. She said bad things about me, she wouldn't defend me, and I have the right to change an ambassador."

How Sputnik 1 changed the world for the good of mankind.

...I was looking up some old posts, and I found one that about loosing stuff that was put up on October 4, this year. That got me to thinking. Wasn't that the day of Sputnik 1 in 1957? Yes, I found out instantly by hitting Google Search, and finding that Sputnik 1 was indeed launched on October 4 1957. That is 62 years ago. Oh MY?.....
...Anyway, I thought for a few minutes about that . U.S.A. was supposed to be the .."leader" in the space race, ...not the Soviet Union. This was an embarrassment to our scientific community and the U.S. government. A few months later, the U.S. tried to launch a rocket with a satellite (Vanguard). That attempt was on Dec 6, 1957, and it failed and blew up at the launch pad. More embarrassment for the United States scientists. I remember that short film played over and over of that rocket blowing up a couple of months after the Soviet Union successfully launched their Sputnik 1 into outer space.
...So, because of that, a Space Race developed between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. Who would do this or that first. Which country's rockets were stronger, larger, and better equipped? Lots of drama in that space race. Lives were lost, this was accomplished and that was done. We landed on the moon on July 24, 1969, and won the race to the moon. ... Big Deal..

...But how did Sputnik 1 change the world?...

...OK..Here it is: As the U.S. tried to beat the Russians in the race to the moon, our government developed and used very early .."computers"... to help the satellites navigate and carry out the assignments. For one simple reason, "computers" ... needed to be... as small as possible.

...The larger computers of the early 60s were too heavy and too large to put into a rocket and launched into outer space. So the United States spent a whole lot of money to miniaturize the computers so that when launched, would fit into the rockets. The space race forced the advancement of computers. Of course the U.S. wanted to prove that it had the better space rangers, (better than the Soviet Union) but in the process of doing so, computers and their components became smaller and smaller. As that happened, the computers evolved far quicker than expected. Computer components became more wide spread and much ...cheaper..
..Over time..(from the 70s to now) the components became even smaller than anyone could imagine, and cheaper too.. At some point in 80s, computers became more available to everyone, not just the government and the universities. So computer companies made the components so cheap that normal people could buy them. I recall a friend having a computer he bought in the 90s. He showed me how it worked and did research. In today's money it cost about $9000. or more. (I think he paid $3200 in the mid 90s.) .
..So the show continued. Just like before, the computers became smaller and smaller with more and cheaper components inside. .
....I think I succumbed to the show, and bought my first computer in 2006. (I had been going to the library and using their computers which were available for use by all.) Yes, the computers are even smaller than before, and can now be held in your hand.
... These hand held models are far more powerful and far cheaper than we could imagine in the 80s. It is like a science fiction show that is real....But the advancement of computers and components took place in the 60s and 70s because of the space race between the U.S. and the Soviet Union during that period. That space race started on October 4, 1957. Computers have changed the world in so many positive ways. Particularly in the field of medical science, these advancements have been for the good of mankind.
............Oh, one last thought...this post was sent to you by a computer, over computer lines, over phone lines, to another computer, and then interpreted and posted in a place far, far away. Thank You for reading this.
