The only thing she did as governor that was handled well was preparing for Matthew and guiding people through the aftermath. No, she wasn't perfect but it was one of the better efforts I have seen.

She held periodic updates and didn't spend the time doing all the talking. She had the appropriate officials with her who gave reports. She actually listened to people.

She also stuck to her guns about evacuation and not cancelling it.
While at the UN, she has shown a propensity to leave the reservation. She will also tell people to go to hell or just do it her way. That might have come in handy.
