Good resource to keep track of the NRA tools in your state.
WTF? Bernie's not even listed, and these are career totals!
Hillary's fans continue to shout that Bernie is a tool of the NRA but this resource indicates he's never received a single dime from them. Ever. Some tool.

ALL CONGRESSIONAL NRA RECIPIENTS
*updated November 2015 to include declared incumbents, 2016 elections*
Listed below, alphabetically by state, are price tags for the members of Congress who receive NRA money.
NRA dollar amounts shown are CAREER totals to date as obtained from the OpenSecrets.org website.
Senate recipients are listed first, followed by House recipients. Additional information about recipients appearing below their NRA price tags includes if they represent themselves as "pro-life"; NRA grades, scores, or endorsements; if they've also received money from Gun Owners of America; their April 2013 vote on the Machin-Toomey Amendment which would have required background checks on for all gun sales at gun shows and for gun sales over the Internet; and, miscellaneous, albeit pertinent, items.

Members of the British Parliament are going to meet later this month to debate whether or not to ban Donald Trump from entering the UK. One member of Parliament said, "Look, we have enough guys with ridiculous-looking things on their heads making sure nobody gets over a fence.
At a rally in New Hampshire, Bernie Sanders mocked Donald Trump for thinking that climate change is a hoax created by the Chinese. At this point, most people are starting to feel like Trump is a hoax created by the Chinese.

Donald Trump's wife, Melania, said she was initially attracted to Donald because of his energy. By the way, "energy" is the Slovenian word for "money."
The government of Iraq has offered to mediate between Saudi Arabia and Iran. You know the Middle East is in trouble when your greatest hope for peace is "meeting up in Iraq."

In America today, big time philanthropists are often lauded for helping to even the playing field for those less fortunate. Every week, millionaires flock from TED conferences to "idea festivals" sharing viral new presentations on how to solve the world's biggest problems (give village children computers, think positive thoughts etc.). But this acceptance of the philanthropic order was not always the case. In the era of Carnegie and Rockefeller, for instance, many distrusted these philanthropic barons, arguing they had no right to horde would-be tax dollars for their own pet causes, especially since these "donations" came from the toil of the workers beneath them.
In her new book No Such Thing As A Free Gift: The Gates Foundation and the Price of Philanthropy Linsey McGoey reasserts this challenge to the legitimacy of philanthropy in today's new era of philanthropic superstars. McGoeys book investigates the Gates Foundations interventions in US K-12 education and global health, raising serious concerns about the extent to which the massive philanthropic sector depletes funding for traditional social services and prioritizes the agendas of unelected foundation leaders.
As institutions like the Gates Foundation take increasingly leading roles in policymaking and governance, McGoey argues, the line between traditional notions of charity and top-down consolidation of power becomes unclear; and with this largely unchecked influence, philanthro-capitalists, like Bill Gates, have pushed countries across the world to accept market based solutions for crises like education inequity and disease proliferationdespite evidence that these problems are often rooted in actions taken by those philanthro-capitalists themselves.

Through setting up an LLC, Zuckerberg has skirted any requirements to publicly list any grants made to either for-profits or non-profits. His giving can take place in total secrecy: well know only about the grants that he wishes to disclose. When an entity such as the Gates Foundation offers grants to for-profit corporations, it needs to legally exercise "expenditure responsibility," which means that it needs to take measures to ensure that the grant is used for charitable ends, rather than private profiteering. There are no such restrictions on Zuckerbergs LLC. Zuckerberg can legally offer the bulk of his "philanthropy" to any for-profit recipients he wants and still receive public acclaim for "gifting" his fortune. Were seeing the rise of a new, horizontal philanthropythe rich giving directly to the richat a level thats completely unprecedented.
Why Philanthropy Hurts Rather Than Helps Some of the World's Worst Problems

This is what racism looks like!
http://www.uppitywis.org/blogarticle/what-racism-looksThe sheets are off. The Republicans are now saying in public what they have been saying to each other in private for years. The racism in the party is so ingrained that they cannot see it themselves. The fact is that this guy is not only serious, but also sarcastic about an unemployment situation that has caused poverty and crime. Talgo had already located in the center of Milwaukee when Walker turned away $800,000,000 for the railroad expansion from Milwaukee to Madison which subsequently cause the train manufacurer to leave Milwaukee. The open hostility toward Milwaukee that is currently demonstrated daily by the Republicans in Madison is only thinly veiled racism, but every once in a while one of them takes his sheet off and we can see him and the Republican party for who he really is and they really are. Sadly for Wisconsin, the oligarchs that own the Republican party have succesfully divided the state so that this low point in our moral history will only get lower as these racist become even more emboldened.
By the way this is the same Bob Gannon who is calling on concealed carry permit holders to "clean our society of scum bags" after a shooting inside the crowded East Towne Mall in Madison that happened on Saturday, December 19th.
...
Rep. Bob Gannon (R-Slinger) released this statement today on jobs and crime.
As democrats statewide compose their yearend propaganda blaming republicans for every malady known by man, they need to be honest about job creation. Milwaukee is ranked the sixth highest city nationally in per capita murders by Forbes, which makes it obvious that our largest urban center, is the anchor holding back the ship of state as far as jobs is concerned. Milwaukee finished the year with over one hundred and fifty murders and over seven hundred others injured in shootings. Milwaukee finished the year with an unemployment rate of approximately twenty percent for their black population. This is almost four times as high as the white unemployment rate for the city and the state. This means that Milwaukee leads in murders and mayhem per capita, with a large number of these crimes occurring in mainly black neighborhoods, the same neighborhoods with the worst unemployment rates in the state. Could one make a connection between employment opportunities and the level of crime on those same streets? What employer will build or expand when they fear muggings, carjackings, attempted murder, or other serious criminal threats to their employees? One cannot ignore the correlation between jobs and crime, employment opportunities will only expand in these neighborhoods when the violence is stopped. Milwaukee has a democrat mayor, whose focus is a tiny trolley that will chug along in the more affluent and safer areas of the city. Milwaukee County has a democrat district attorney focused on a personal vendetta against our governor, a vendetta thats been laughed out of multiple courts for having no legal standing, while ignoring the crime on the streets. The states economic numbers, including job development and unemployment rates, would certainly be significantly improved if only our largest city would clean up the murder and mayhem on their streets.
