Crawford's Weekly Rant!:
March 1, 2016

I just read an OP posted by a Clinton Supporter...

... in Greatest Threads – it's gone now – that ended with a snarky remark about it being all over but the crying for us Bernie supporters. SOP, no big deal. But the forty-odd responses were just oozing with malice. I mean, WTF? They're always screeching about how nasty and uncivil we all are, but the nastiest remarks I ever see are from their side of No-Man's-Land. Like this gem from a couple of days ago:

"WE DON'T WANT YOU AND WE DON'T NEED YOU!"

And yes, it was in all caps, and referring, of course, to Bernie supporters. Given the stench of Brock that permeates the belligerent attitude of so many Clintonistas, I am sometimes tempted to throw that one right back at them, but I will not sink to their level.

Truth and Reconciliation is going to be hard come by when the dust settles after this primary season.

Okay, I'm done venting. Have a nice day.

Has the world turned upside down?

Yesterday the Weasel King, Ted Cruz, fired a lead spokesman for disseminating false information about Marco Rubio. A couple of months ago, the Weasel Queen, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, ignored warnings from Bernie's tech people that a digital door was left open, and caught a Sanders staffer peeking where he ought not to have been peeking. He, too, was dismissed. Peekability extended both ways in that situation, but even though there was circumstantial evidence that Clinton staffers also peeked, the mere suggestion unleashed a fusillade of denials and outrage.

So here's the thing: Clinton staffers, surrogates, and SuperPAC Chairmen have committed an ever-growing litany of transgressions every bit as questionable as what Cruz's spokesman did – save your indignation, Hillarites; this stuff has been documented – and yet, none of the perpetrators of dirty tricks or artful smears has been told to clean out their desks.

So... are we to believe that the smarmy Weasel King of the Far Right is more honorable than You-Know-Who?

Damn, I would hate to think so. I get dizzy when the world is upside down.

P.S. It is not my intention to be disruptive - that is a term open to very broad interpretation - but simply posing a legitimate question.

The claim that Bernie supporters shouted down Huerta...

... has been proven to be a bald-faced lie. The Clinton operatives behind all these dishonest slurs are not doing their candidate any favors.

So, Senator McConnell...

... would you care to amend your recent ill-considered remarks? Are you really so monumentally stupid that you thought no one would find this? (I found a reference to it on Daily Kos and followed that link)

Senator McConnell:

“Any President’s judicial nominees should receive careful consideration. But after that debate, they deserve a simple up-or-down vote. . . . It’s time to move away from advise and obstruct and get back to advise and consent. The stakes are high . . . . The Constitution of the United States is at stake. Article II, Section 2 clearly provides that the President, and the President alone, nominates judges. The Senate is empowered to give advice and consent. But my Democratic colleagues want to change the rules. They want to reinterpret the Constitution to require a supermajority for confirmation. In effect, they would take away the power to nominate from the President and grant it to a minority of 41 Senators.” (States News Service, May 19, 2005)
