NOPE!!!..active shooter rittenhouse..

Gaige..he couldn't pull the trigger when it might have saved him from being shot by Kyle Rittenhouse. He said he wasn't THAT kind of a man..

he was the one who feared for his life when confronting Rittenhouse. After he pursued Rittenhouse and Huber was shot, Grosskreutz said, he held up both of his hands in a sign of surrender.

It is just too bad 2 people are dead.and Gaige is severely wounded...like the OP..enough is enough..there was a time REAL men fought with fists..mano y mano..today..just cowards with a gun..not for protection, but to do harm to others..what was in rittenhouses heart..not much..

How did that absolute immunity case work out?? Anyone..

“You have to recognize the absolute immunity of the president's close advisers,” the attorney, Carl Nichols, declared.

I will do some research tomorrow - inquiring mind needs to know...

Edit..update on research..

https://vnexplorer.net/judge-in-bannon-contempt-case-once-fought-congress-subpoena-power-eo20212488935.html

Ultimately, Nichols lost the case before U.S. District Court Judge John Bates, who ruled that presidential advisers must show up when subpoenaed by Congress. The Justice Department appealed the decision but, after Barack Obama won the presidency, the House, Bush lawyers and the new administration reached a deal and dropped the litigation over the matter.

Bates’ ruling isn’t binding on other courts, but remains one of only a couple ever to address the notion of immunity for presidential advisers.

Despite Nichols’ broad argument for the immunity of top presidential advisers, it’s not nearly as extreme as Bannon’s. Nichols told the court, for example, that congressional subpoenas for documents could still be litigated. Bannon, notably, refused to comply with a committee document request.

And Nichols emphasized that the notion of “absolute immunity” was meant to apply only to a “small group” of close presidential advisers, like the chief of staff or White House counsel.

Loved the rain..but at about 5:10pm..I got a text from my son 65 miles West..

"batten down the hatches"..I looked out was enjoying looking at the rain..and all of a sudden..I saw wind swept rain coming in from the WNW..across the 1st fairway..I honestly thought the windows on the north side were going to break..all is well here, but our neighbors 2 doors up lost their roof..

When all was said and done, we tooled around our neighborhood..OMG..roof.. 1/2 a house on the street (56th)..patio roof and patio damage to many neighbors homes....seems whatever it was tore through, smashing and crashing..even some of our beautiful very old pines..down..Falcon Field just to our west..planes suffered major damage..

Channel 3 and hovering copters for the news.. this huge pine..right out back on the course..

Stay safe all..monsoon is here!!! NO, I am not complaining..everyone is okay, and we needed the rain..update..just how the Washington Palms stay upright is beyond me..

Funny story..the trap cop had so many pulled over by the time he waved me over, he then waved me on...I thought it was my car and good looks...nope, Saturday morning, knock knock, local cop..hands me a ticket for Over speeding..I asked local (small town) cop..what is over speeding?...don't remember how fast clocked...I knew local cop, he was great keeping teens out of trouble...

The Stench of Voter Suppression is All Over Arizona

During the Obama 2012 election, we had a great voter registration effort..which also added many voters to the Permanent Early Voter List (PEVL)..I guess the republicans don't like it...people voting that is..the PEVL is very popular...

May 11, 2021
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Gov. Doug Ducey (R) signed SB 1485 into law on Tuesday afternoon. The voter suppression bill, passed by the State Senate only an hour before the governor signed it, significantly revises the state’s Permanent Early Voting List (PEVL). A hugely popular provision in Arizona, the PEVL allows eligible voters to sign up to receive a mail ballot permanently. As of Tuesday, 2,047,365 voters are on the list.

OH, how could I forget our lovely Hummingbirds..I have two feeders..

for heavens sake, OH, and Quail..sometimes when I count 7 babies scooting across the fairway..and then a couple weeks later I only count 2 or 3 babies..but every year..a new hatching..

I do have a woodpecker, red head, mottled white and gray feathers, he likes to guard the Humming Bird feeders..chasing away smaller birds, not sure what they are..but, boy is he noisy..I bet that woodpecker is the same one that likes to wake us up early in morning rat-a-tat on our satelite dish..of course it is on the roof over the bedroom..OH, and then the beautiful black Mockingbirds..noisy noisy noisy..

Ya' know what, I am so grateful for these lovely discussions..sure is a nice feeling - almost like that movie that starts out black and white, then morphs to color..not so naive to think we are out of the woods, and we don't have major societal problems to solve..but we have decent people who want to help solve those problems..

Wish you well..
