Coronavirus Cases Are Spiking In Places Where Trump Supporters Protested Stay-At-Home Orders

From the article:

While there is some light at the end of the tunnel in states where strict stay-at-home measures have been implemented, there has been an apparent rise in coronavirus cases in places where Donald Trump supporters took to the streets to protest.
According to MSNBC’s Joy Reid, cases appear to be back on the rise again in Wisconsin, where Republicans forced an in-person election, and in Florida, where the GOP governor reopened some beaches.
Perhaps most startling, though, is what is happening in Michigan, where Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has taken tough measures to curb the spread of the virus.
As Reid pointed out on Saturday, cases in the state have been on the rise for four straight days, not along after protesters took to the streets to protest stay-at-home orders with Confederate flags and Trump signs.

With apologies to Harry Belafonte, an incredible progressive singer, social justice worker, and activist.

I hope you enjoy this bit of humor. Stay safe, and stay as sane as you can be.

Why is it called "common sense"?

If 60 million people could happily vote for a con man,

if this same con man can tell over 16,000 lies with little drop in support from his base,

if this con man can suggest that bleach might be good to take internally, to no outcry from his base,

if 37% of voters still support this incompetent lunatic,

if anyone can listen to Trump's insane speeches, and still like him,

why exactly is it called "common sense"?

Trump is not even a good liar.

He is too stupid to be a competent liar, much les a good liar.

His appeal is to racism, and to greed. The greedy rich get more money, and the racist 90% of his voters see Trump being an open racist.

Trump can openly say what many really wish to say openly.

Kamala Harris' New Video Fuels Running Mate Speculation

From the article:

Senator Kamala Harris’ new video has led to speculation she’s auditioning for vice president. Joe Biden has said he will choose a woman as his running mate.
The California senator released the video on Twitter on Friday. This is usually a slow news day and perhaps an opportunity for Harris to garner attention she wouldn’t otherwise get during a busy news cycle.
“Right now we need a president that speaks truth, embraces science, and lifts people up,” Harris tweeted.

Everlasting arms.

Georgia is reopening this week.

And on Rachel Maddow, we see that COVID19 cases are increasing rapidly all over the state.

Who will Brian Kemp, the GOP Governor, blame?

Amazing how Kemp, who claimed he did not know about the existence of asymptomatic carriers of COVID19, feels confident in reopening his state even as cases are rapidly increasing.

Almost like mass insanity is infecting the entire GOP leadership.

Calling US Postal Service 'A Joke,' Trump Demands Four-Fold Price Hike for Customers Amid Covid-19 Pandemic

From the article:

President Donald Trump on Friday threatened to withhold all future Covid-19 relief funding from the U.S. Postal Service unless the federal agency dramatically raises its shipping prices—a demand that critics say is ludicrous given the economic calamity the American people and the post office are now facing.

Key to responding to this nonsense is that the USPS is in a crisis because the GOP create the crisis in 2006. What we must do is contact our Senators and Representatives and demand that they take action to save the USPS.
