11 reasons why Hippies (not psychos) should rule the world!

Don’t be fooled. The status quo is delusional. When it comes to what really matters, what you feel in your marrow is usually right. And on this note, hippies aren’t really “hippies.” That’s just what we’ve been called to disenfranchise us from sanity and to promote the misdeeds of the fake world powers.

Everyone, really, is a hippie, just beneath whatever very recent modern disguises we’ve taken on. For each of us, by the mere fact of waking and walking, on some level loves trees for their oxygen they give, the sun and soil for our food, the rain and rivers for our water. It’s just that hippies are more conscious of these facts, more gracious and therefore (more) stewarding of all that makes us whole.

In truth, we are the true CEOs of our planet’s future, not the current psychos in charge. Because money is useless with nothing to buy, no plants or millions of other species left to love and fascinate, nurture and support us. The new currency is wholeheartedness, justice, courage, and respect — as it always has be

1) We sit under, lie under, wrap our arms around, and feel praise in the presence of trees and other non-humans, sharing our love with the most loving things on the planet.

2) We sit around more than others — helping slow down the mad rush to the end — and have the kinds of conversations that the stars, daffodils, and the moon enjoy.

3) We wear clothes with holes and stains and it’s okay. In fact, it’s more than okay because it slows capitalism, the great Earth-crusher.

Wow. Lots of live footage (really?) and documentaries ive never seen.

Tonight David Gilmour show, some archival Bowie and now a very interedting documentary on the Who's masterpiece Quadrophenia.

Lets hope they play some Dead, Phish, DMB, and bands that are the live music titans.

Question: Has Trump given a press conference? Hillary how many?

Un scripted? All members of the media, no pre approved questions. I know HRC has had one recently on the plane, have there been more?

T rump did better, much better

Tonight. Yeah he lied, but he didn't lose it, and was far more civil than in the past debates.

Help me DU! Racism in my small CA town

I live in a VERY small town in the central valley of CA. The center of town is the coffee house/Deli. Everyone, including myself hang out there. Family owned, by a family that endured racism, (not black, but middle Eastern)when they moved there and bought the liquor store and turned it into the coffee shop.

It has been that for thirty years. Now the son, Tony, of the original family runs it. I was at a bar last night, talking to "Tony" and he dropped the N word. Repeatedly. This was not the first time either. Two other times in talkiñg to him he has used racist language.

My dilemma is this: I know a lot of people here. Good longtime friends. It is the center of my universe before 10am. None of those friends know about Tony's racism, and none of them would be happy with it. (There is like everywhere a contingent that would support his views).
I have decided that I will no longer go there. But that means a moral dilemma, in that now I have to go to Starbucks, and I abhor not knowing that every dollar of my money goes to people in my community. There are no Indy coffee shops close enough, so Starbucks or Peets it has to be.

Do I inform my friends of Tony's racism? His parents? Yelp? Facebook, social media? We could meet elsewhere, but on one side of town or the other, the coffee shop is in the middle and that's why we all meet there.

The parents also own a service based business, one which I referred in the past and have partnered with in the past on project. Tony is also a prominent member of that team.
So, wise and savory DU, what should I do?

The ten most bizarre moments of 2016 Presidential debate

3. The word saladiness

Trump tossed some of the biggest word salads ever. He threw everything from the fridge and beyond in there. It was unbelievable. Uuuge! He was, in fact, mostly incoherent the entire night. One highly incoherent point came when he was asked about cyber security threats: "I don't think anyone knows it was Russia that broke into the DNC. She's saying Russia Russia Russia, but I don't. Maybe it was. I mean it could be Russia; it could also be China. It could also be lots of other people. It also could be someone sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds, okay?"

In addition to word saladiness, there is just the fact that Trump's world is pretty much a logic free zone. This was exhibited in his reponse to whether he has renounced his racist birtherism campaign against President Obama, and what took him so long? The answer is he wants to move on, she started it, and he got Obama to produce his birth certificate, and he's very proud of that. It's an illogical, offensive non-answer. Truly Trumpian! The word salad stems from a brain salad.

4. The weird brags
