Bayard's JournalSing Your Song
Re-watching some Walking Dead lately, and the scene where Negan makes Carl sing a song. He ended up singing, "You are my Sunshine".
So, if you were at the mercy of a barbed wire embellished ball bat welding crazy person, who demanded you sing--what would you sing? Has to be something you know all the lyrics to, and can remember under stress.
My current one would probably be, "Seven Bridges Road", (Eagles). Hey--I didn't say I'd sing it well!
60 neglected horses found on Iowa farm; repeat offender charged
https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/entertainment/2018/05/18/arl-horse-neglect-case-earlham-iowa-animal-rescue-league/623172002/Sickening. Don't understand why this guy is allowed to have animals, and is not in prison. This horse shows several years worth of untrimmed hooves.
Urgent: These horses could be euthanized if not adopted within the next week.
This was a post on the rescue site I subscribe to. Thought it was worth passing the word. I don't know anything other than what's here.
12 Horses
91-yr-old inherited 12 horses in his pasture he rented. Owner passed away---91-yr-old does not want them. If someone doesn't take them he is sending them to auction/slaughter.

Birth Announcement!!
Guess what we woke up to this morning? Baby miniature donkey! We just thought mama Wendy was getting way too fat. Guess daddy Roy got the job done before we had him gelded.
Naming her Piper. Her full sister is Scout.
What's the weirdest thing you ever did as a kid?
Stupid may substitute.
I was an inveterate nail biter (still am if the situation calls for it). When I was a little kid, and my fingernails were nearly gone, I was still flexible enough to chew on my toenails.
You next.
Police See Disturbing Trend Of Dogs Found Shot, Killed

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A disturbing number of animals are turning up shot and dumped - left to die. It's a disturbing new development that has owners and police especially concerned.
NewsChannel 5 reported a spike in the number of canine thefts in Middle Tennessee that was possibly connected to a local theft ring.
That trend has grown more disturbing rather than just disappearing, they're being killed. One beagle did survive. It was shot in the head and found dumped in a bag. Thankfully, veterinarians in Winchester were able to save the dog.
But others were not so lucky. Concerned citizens have sent in photos of dogs found shot and then dumped, some by the side of the road, in a half-dozen middle Tennessee counties. "It think it's horrible and we need to figure out why it's happening and who is doing it," said Veterinarian Allison Fields at the Hermitage Animal Clinic in Davidson County.
These dogs were shot with guns in more rural counties. Now, many wonder if some of them were among the many stolen in recent months.
This is the previous story which covers the thefts:

What the hell is wrong with people? We are driving down to Nashville on Saturday to adopt another Great Pyrenees. Sounds like a good thing in more ways than one.
Happy First Day of Spring!
And to put you in the mood:
My gardens are almost ready to go. I have my seeds and bare roots in hand.
Name that wet tune!
Since Fridays tend to be major news dumps these days, how about a light-hearted game?
Write a few lines from a song that refers to water, let everybody else guess what song its from, and the artist. Me first!
"I have my ship and all her flags are a' flyin'
She is all that I have left and music is her name".
Alzheimer's Help?
My mom had Alzheimer's when she died, and I'm starting to forger words sometimes, so I'm getting worried. I've started taking Ginkgo Biloba, Turmeric, and probiotics, as well as, trying to eat more things like walnuts and blueberries. Trying to steer clear of red meat (if the husband will stop buying pork chops!)
Anyone else in the same boat, and what are you doing about it? Any results?
Frogs are singing in the pond!
Spring can't be far behind---it was 72 degrees today in KY.
I'm looking for ideas on plant supports this year. I tried staking up my tomatoes and dinner-plate dahlia's last year, and they all ended up on the ground. Every year, I've tried something different, and looking for more success.
What do you use?
