Sometimes I feel like fighting to keep the South may have been a bad idea. I mean really, what have they ever brought our country? Ignorance, racism, anti-scientific thinking, etc. It's so bad that it's likely Moore will actually win Al. Tribal thinking absolutely dictates their way of life, and they would literally vote for Satan himself if it meant keeping a evil pro-choice liberal out of office.
The OWS movement was correct all along
There's clearly an overall plan in this country to continue stripping the working class of all they have in order to funnel money up to the 1%. Seems like we need a new movement similar to OWS, only this time they need more mainstream support and leadership. We aren't gonna change things with some hippies and anarchists camping out in the park for a few weeks. If we want change it will take mainstream protests like those seen in the 1960's. Only this time it isn't gonna be about racial inequality, but about economic and wealth inequality.

And of course, the orange idiot in charge wants to give people like this MORE money. At the current rate I wouldn't be shocked to see the first trillionaires pop up in a few decades. What a country where one person can have more wealth than the bottom 30% of the country combined. Trickle down golden showers for all!

Manson got me thinking about how unjust our healthcare system really is
Most people are probably aware of Charles Manson dying lately after 40+ years in prison. What really burns me is realizing society paid for this guy to have free healthcare/dental/etc for all that time. WHY IN THE HELL does our society care more about the health of convicted PRISONERS than free citizens? I guess if you get some kind of illness you'd better just get thrown in prison if you want healthcare. What kind of message does this send?
Why are all of the mass shooters men?
Killing certainly isn't exclusive to men as there have been plenty of female murderers out there, but as far as I know every single mass shooting event has involved a male shooter. I really start to wonder why that is. Is it all just lonely men who cannot find a girlfriend and take it out on society(Elliot Rodger being a prime example)? Or is there something specific to the male psychological state which causes men to take this course of action?
I fully blame the media for these mass shootings
You know why these sick bastards do this? It's because they've learned that the media will make sure NOBODY forgets their name and the story of their life. Just look at that Paddock guy who shot up Vegas. The media are still running stories on him and trying to figure out why he did it. That's EXACTLY what he wanted in all likelihood. He was a random loser nobody with gambling problems, and now he'll go down in history as one of the most infamous murderers in our nation. Suddenly everybody is examining his life and trying to learn everything they can about him. Same for Lanza, Holmes, Cho, Rodgers, and all the other sickos who do this. Seems like most of the people who do this are just losers who just want their name to be remembered for something, and the media give them their wish. This has all turned into some sick 'game' where these losers try to outdo the others and get the new 'high score'.
Is it possible that someone coerced the Vegas shooter to do it?
I'm not usually one to cry conspiracy, but something really doesn't add up here. This guy doesn't fit the usual description of a rampage killer at all. Most are frustrated young males with a mental health history, angry political activists, or religious nuts doing it for political purposes.
This guy was wealthy, upper middle aged, had lived a good life, and didn't seem at all weird to people who knew him. This attack also took a very high level of planning, which implies the shooter still had his mental wits to some extent.
What if some group or individual had some kind of terrible leverage against him and forced him to do this? Maybe they had somebody important to him and threatened to torture the person and send him a piece every month unless he did this?
So how exactly did things get THIS bad for Democrats?
In my entire life I've never seen the party in such a weak, demoralized, and fragmented state. Extremely low overall influence throughout the nation after having lost all branches of govt. A SCOTUS seat shamelessly stolen and there's nothing they could do about it. A presidency basically stolen and nothing could be done about it. Gerrymandered districts which are hurting Dems at all levels of govt. And instead of doing anything about this, it seems like everyone just wants to go back and fight about whether they were for Hillary or Bernie. Hillary vs Bernie is over. Both candidates are too old/damaged to run again IMO and people need to quit blaming, get over it, and focus on the future and stopping the Republicans from destroying everything good in this country.

Indeed, absent a significant adjustment to how billions of humans conduct their lives, parts of the Earth will likely become close to uninhabitable, and other parts horrifically inhospitable, as soon as the end of this century.
Even when we train our eyes on climate change, we are unable to comprehend its scope. This past winter, a string of days 60 and 70 degrees warmer than normal baked the North Pole, melting the permafrost that encased Norway’s Svalbard seed vault — a global food bank nicknamed “Doomsday,” designed to ensure that our agriculture survives any catastrophe, and which appeared to have been flooded by climate change less than ten years after being built.

Weren't the Republicans the ones always taking about second ammendment 'solutions'
To political grievances? Seems like that advice may have been taken literally today. I remember Trump himself talking about there being possible 2A solutions if Hillary had won the presidency. I wonder if Republicans will stop being so cavalier about provoking the nutjobs out there?
