Donald Trump gropes Kurt Suzuki as Nats catcher does bizarre salute (spoons with him)

“Where’s Kurt? Where’s Kurt?” the president wondered. Suzuki came out in a red MAGA hat. Trump pawed at him from behind, twice, in an awkward, spooning embrace, and Suzuki did a strange two-armed salute before saying “I love you all” twice into a microphone.

In Spain, thousands protest verdict in sex crime case: Men convicted of "Sexual abuse"

MADRID — Thousands of Spaniards, mostly women of all ages, took to the streets Monday to demand changes in the law after a ruling in a sex-crime case involving an unconscious teenager renewed anger over the way victims are treated by the legal system.

The protests come after five men accused of gang-raping an intoxicated 14-year-old girl were sentenced to 10 to 12 years behind bars. The outrage was not so much over the length of the prison terms as over the court’s decision to convict them of the lesser crime of sexual abuse instead of sexual assault or rape.

The Barcelona-based court found last week that because the victim had drunk alcohol and smoked marijuana, she “could not accept or reject the sexual relations.” The men, it said, were therefore able to have sex with her without using violence or intimidation — an element required under Spanish law for a crime to be a sexual assault.

The ruling recalled a similar case, also in 2016, in which an 18-year-old was alleged to have been raped by five men at the start of the Pamplona festival that includes the world-famous Running of the Bulls. The initial verdict found the defendants guilty of sexual abuse because the judges saw no intimidation in the way the men cornered the victim in a lonely hallway.

But that was overruled earlier this year by Spain’s Supreme court following a wave of street protests. The court extended the men’s prison terms from nine years to 15 in a landmark ruling that said that the victim, outnumbered, had been subjected to “surrounding intimidation.”

Trump offers Putin help with Siberian wildfires: Kremlin

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-russia-trump-putin-wildfires-idUSKCN1UQ2UC

MOSCOW (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump offered his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin help in putting out vast wildfires that are raging in Siberia, the Kremlin said late on Wednesday, a move it said Putin took as a sign that battered ties can be restored.

The Kremlin said the two leaders had spoken by phone at Washington’s initiative, hours after Putin ordered the Russian army to help firefighters battle the wildfires.

The fires have spread to around 3 million hectares of mostly remote forest, an area almost the size of Belgium, according to the Federal Forestry Agency, wafting smoke across Siberia and prompting several regions to declare states of emergency.

“The U.S. president offered Russia cooperation in fighting forest fires in Siberia,” the Kremlin statement said.

“President Putin expressed his sincere gratitude for such an attentive attitude and for the offer of help and support.”

Putin told Trump that Moscow would take him up on his offer if necessary, the Kremlin said, adding: “The Russian president took this step from the U.S. president as a sign that in the future we can restore full-scale ties between our two countries.”

Russia has long been keen to try to start rebuilding battered U.S.-Russia relations, which remain strained by everything from Syria to Ukraine and allegations of Russian interference in U.S. politics, which Moscow denies.

Trump Bashes Pelosi, Newsome, and Does Witness Intimidation In Same Presser

The Two Minute Hate Is Here: Trump Bashes Pelosi, Newsome, and Does Witness Intimidation In Same Presser

The mind of Donald Trump is a shambolic, disordered mess, where the only running thread of unity is to lash out at perceived enemies — first and foremost, the Democrats and their alleged compatriots, the “fake news media.” Today, he did another presser on the lawn, and he was more peeved than usual, which makes sense since he was booed last week at the World Series and then again Saturday night at the UFC championship in Madison Square Garden. Trump is becoming progressively more unglued as the days go by and his commentary Sunday only serves to underscore how much.

Today he went off on Alexander Vindman, whom he calls a “Never Trumper” and accused the media of withholding the name of the Ukraine whistle blower — whom Trump depicts as a liar.

It goes without saying that Trump has no concept of whistle blower protections, why they are necessary, or what a whistle blower risks by coming forward. He just wants to get a name so he can denounce the person as a loser and have Rocco break his legs. So far, vintage Trump. And it’s equally vintage that he is blameless, it’s this unnamed person telling lies that is the problem, and the media hiding him. Pure conspiracy theory, although you would never be able to explain that to Trump. His thought processes are too simplistic to permit him the discernment of why a whistle blower would come forward in the first place, to protect something larger than his own interests, and how the mechanism of a whistle blower going to Congress might be an integral part of democracy. If it’s not black and white, centered on him, Trump can’t grok it. Then he goes on to Adam Schiff and his purported false report. Take four minutes and listen to this, because this is one for the history books. The witness intimidation, of which Trump is oblivious, is where he declares that Alexander Vindman is a “Never Trumper” and that evidence of that will come out “real soon.”

Why do they have to make it sound like the impeachment of one man is going to throw the country into an uncontrollable tailspin. Trump has already gutted the government like a dead fish & the wheels keep on turning without THEM. We need to throw this motherfucker out on his ears.
