Demovictory9's Journalmajority of the undocumented immigrants graduating from U.S. high schools no longer elig for DACA
applicants must Have lived continuously in the United States since June 15, 2007 and no new applicant accepted. So DACA is at the end of the line for now.A Decade After DACA, the Rise of a New Generation of Undocumented Students
A vast majority of undocumented teenagers are graduating high school this year without protection from deportation and the ability to legally work.
LOS ANGELES Tommy Esquivel graduated from Hollywood High School in Southern California last week with awards honoring his determination, his record of service and the highest average grade in his Advanced Placement environmental science class. I am excited to see what you will do with your future, his science teacher, Alycia Escobedo, said in a farewell note. Do big things.
But Mr. Esquivel, 19, who grew up in Los Angeles without legal immigration status, faces significant obstacles to realizing his potential. He has limited access to financial aid for college. In many states, he cannot obtain a drivers license. Without a Social Security number, he cannot legally work. And though he has lived in the United States since the age of 9, he could at any time face deportation to Guatemala.
For the first time, a majority of the undocumented immigrants graduating from high schools across the United States have none of the protections offered over the past 10 years under an Obama-era program that shielded most of the so-called Dreamers from deportation and offered them access to jobs and help with college tuition.
Asians represent the fastest-growing cohort of undocumented students, and among them is James Song, who came to Chicago from South Korea on a tourist visa when he was 9 and never left.
Immigration analysts estimate that the new class of young immigrants who grew up in the United States but lack legal status or any DACA protection will grow by 100,000 each year.

McLaren 600LT abandoned near Tacoma. Door open, lights still on
https://twitter.com/wspd1pio/status/1539137915829497857An unattended white 2020 McLaren 600LT was found on State Route 512 near Tacoma, Washington by the Washington State Patrol. The longtail McLaren was discovered wedged under a guardrail. Photos posted to Twitter by one of the State Patrols public information officers show the cars greenhouse violently split by the barrier with the lights still on and the drivers side door open.
According to the State Patrol, the McLaren wasnt reported stolen and was still fitted with dealership plates. The vehicle does have a registered owner in Washington, but its still unclear how the sports car ended up under a guardrail. The 592-horsepower McLaren could have been too much for a new owner to handle, or maybe the driver wasnt the cars owner.

Krystein Sinema raises her crazy head to speak on Roe
https://twitter.com/kyrstensinema/status/1540346789613785092post Roe tactic to thwart anti choice zealots: Information
The recent experience of Texas residents demonstrates that large numbers of pregnant people will find a way to get abortions, no matter what the law says. Even though last September the state banned abortions after roughly six weeks of pregnancy, in the following months the abortion rate fell by only about 10 percent. One reason is that Texans traveled to clinics in other states, but another reason is that larger numbers obtained pills for early abortions online, through organizations like Aid Access, or directly from international pharmacies.
---------
The anti-abortion movement is likely to continue to deploy another longstanding tactic: deceiving people. Already, one in 10 Google searches for abortion services in states likely to ban abortion directs users to crisis pregnancy centers groups that often imply that they provide abortions when their mission is actually to block people from getting abortions.
Expect anti-abortion activists to set up websites pretending to sell abortion pills or even selling fake abortion pills. As is often the case at crisis pregnancy centers, the hope would be that the person will time out of the recommended 10-week window for having an abortion with medication. More broadly, logging onto these sites may alert anti-abortion activists to people seeking abortions who then can be threatened with criminal prosecution if they follow through with the abortion, whether the state officially permits that or not.
In a post-Roe environment, how can these pitfalls be avoided? To combat a general lack of awareness, politicians, health care providers, advocacy organizations and average citizens need to spread awareness about medication abortion, reliable places to find it and who can help if complications arise. Free-speech guarantees should protect the provision of accurate information about medication abortion, even if abortion services are prohibited in a particular state.

FedEx, UPS drivers write comments on package about family's abortion sign
A doorbell camera in Middletown captured a FedEx delivery driver writing something on a box. Then, a UPS driver pulls out a marker of his own and writes his own message later that same day.
It was all centered around a sign in the familys front yard, that said keep abortion safe and legal.
The family who lives in the home said that the sign has been up for months, but theyve never had any issues.
Recently, their doorbell camera captured a FedEx driver writing on a box, while walking up their sidewalk to make a delivery.
The message reads It shouldnt be but dont worry it will be, just not in Kentucky. Because it is murder of a life. Good day. The family believes that the message was in response to their yard sign.
-----
The story takes another twist when the couples surveillance cameras capture a UPS driver arriving later in the day. He appeared to read the message that the FedEx driver had written on the box, and proceeds to cross it out with a marker, writing instead Continue to exercise your first amendment rights- UPS.[/b
