LaelthsSon's JournalCovid19:New rules from work
This is scary. My workplace(a sprts bar) just decided they would start doing some new precautionary procedures. The servers are to wear gloves when taking money and they are to sanitize the booths and chairs wvery 20 minutes. The cooks/prep/ect are to wash thier hands every 20 minutes. There is talk that we may switch to to go orders only.
Here is the scary part. If any worker shows symptoms we are to be sent home immediately and cannot come back until we have been tested. We must bring back a doctors note proving to not be infected. We can get fired if we have covid19 or if we dont get a doctors note.
The only place that supposedly has tests is about an hour drive away. It wont be free and it wont be paid for by the company. I cant afford to get one even if I did catch it. I would be out of the job.
If we can, we need to do something fast. Healthcare for all is a step! That wont be fast enough though. Ill take my freedom dividend though. That way I can pay my rent if I loose my job. Wish me and my co-workers luck!
Ya'll wanna know what? I really want calcium
My wisdom teeth are coming in and Ive noticed I really want calcium. Ive wanted fish, ice cream, cheese, milk, and most importantly MAC and Cheese!! I want it soooo bad. I cant even explain how much I want it.
I even tried to take a box to work! They wouldnt let me make it!!!
Anyways, have yall been craving anything?
Why I voted Sanders
To any Boomers on this site, yall dont get me. Many of you are well off in the world and looking to retire or are retired. You have good lives and can sustain yourself. You dont understand my struggle as 19 year old. I'm unlikely to afford college any time soon. Im not going to be able to afford children. Im likely to have to work 3 jobs in order to barely maintain an upper lower class life. (And thats if Im lucky) My life expectancy is shorter than yours is.
I understand youve had some tough times, maybe even working 2 jobs yourself. You got underpaid, there were less labor laws, ect... but that hasnt stopped many of you from leading successful lives. A much higher percentage than my own generation will have.
Even if you cant understand all of these plights... at least understand why I voted for Bernie in the TX primary.
Pete!!! has left...
Yall Im so sad Pete is gone... My dreams for the first gay president will have to wait. I know Pete was presenting himself as a moderate and that is an important distinction to note. However, I wanted Pete so that we could push for more equality/acceptance. Now that he has dropped out Im deciding to support Burnie.
The only other option I will support with all of my heart is if Bloomberg and Yang are a ticket.
Thank you Pete for running for pres.! You are an inspiration! <3
