Trying out more repro rights talking points - that bust the existing frame on abortion

All based on Ejaculate Responsibly: A Whole New Way to Think about Abortion by Gabrielle Blair.

After reading her book it seems so simple and obvious! Truly brilliant and groundbreaking.

Break the loop centered on "when life begins" and legislating a woman's body.

Refocus on the reality, practically and biologically, that abortion is about the men.

-------------------------------

Birth control for women is:

- hard to access
- hard to use
- expensive
- medically risky
- painful (internal exams, device implantation)

Birth control for men is:

- easy to access
- easy to use
- no/low risk
- reversible
- effective
- virtually painless

So why is the burden for pregnancy prevention on women? Why are the regulations on women?

Because a man's pleasure and convenience is valued and mandated above all. By default. Automatically. Without a second thought.

Women should suffer through pain and risk so that the man isn't bothered.

It's time we re-set this narrative to something that actually makes sense.

our lazy media ran with incomplete information about the Bowman incident, see this

for the rest of the story

This door is unlocked on weekdays, but today is Saturday and Bowman was rushing to get to the Capitol for the vote. So he was confronted with this for the first time, thought he could unlock the door and get out to go vote.

Re that Colorado "gag order" on trump: Sworn To Secrecy: Trump's History Of Using NDAs

Sworn To Secrecy: Trump's History Of Using Nondisclosure Agreements

As a businessman, Trump routinely required employees to sign agreements promising not to reveal secrets of the Trump Organization. He did the same during his presidential campaign and the post-election transition period. And according to the Washington Post, Trump has imposed the same confidentiality requirements on some senior members of the White House staff.

....

"When people are chosen by a man to go into government at high levels, and then they leave government and they write a book about a man and say a lot of things that were really guarded and personal — I don't like that," Trump told the Washington Post in 2016.

Reporter Bob Woodward asked Trump if he thought such agreements were "airtight."

"I think they're extremely airtight," Trump said. "Let's put it this way: it's so airtight that I've never had ... you know, I've never had a problem with this sort of thing."

We are not going to beg for the "rape and incest" scraps from their

fascist, woman-hating, sex-punishing, extremist, fringe, authoritarian, retrograde Handmaid's Tale table. #GOPGilead

Just saying.

My body. End of discussion.

I love how the media always demands Dems do the right thing (Menendez)

and then snickers about never expecting or requiring or even asking Republicans to do the right thing (Santos).

Trying out some messaging regarding Repro Choice

based on/inspired by the book Ejaculate Responsibly by Gabrielle Blair (EXCELLENT MUST READ)

--------------------

If you want to take her choice away, take it away by having a vasectomy.

Reversible. Affordable. Highly effective.
LESS painful than a pelvic exam or an IUD.
NO dangerous side effects like hormone pills.

Abortion: It's the MEN.

@FrankLaRose Man up and have the vasectomy, Frank. Or are you uncomfortable with putting the focus on the man's body instead of the woman's?

------------------

Sex doesn't cause pregnancy.
Ejaculations cause pregnancy.

Who should be responsible for controlling the output of ejaculations?
The woman???
Or the man.

Abortion: It's the Men

---------------

Women are fertile for approx 24 hours a month - so 12 days a year.
Men are fertile every second of every day until the day they die.

So why is the burden on women to prevent pregnancy?

Abortion: It's the Men
