My campaign has a cyber stalker. . .I'm sure his name on Facebook is a fake name.

He informed me not to associate with DU on my website anonymously, and he attacked me on the Arizona LD4 Democrats Facebook page before his post was deleted and he was banned.

In his attack, he questioned my judgement and called this website a place for "leftist losers."

On my website he mention people here who lost their jobs due to being on this site, and two posters by their screen names.

First, they ignore you. Then, they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.

On this Memorial Day, I reflect on the liberties and freedoms all Americans are granted

Freedom of speech,
freedom to vote,
freedom to practice or not to practice religion,
freedom to criticize,
freedom to protest things that you do criticize,
freedom to change the government on election day,
freedom to read news that is no censored or filtered by government,
freedom to do on the internet things that are not illegal and not worry about a governmental firewall stopping you,
freedom to choose your life and what you want to do with it,
freedom of economic mobility,
freedom to be who you are which laws forcing you into the closest
freedom of due process of law if accused of a crime

I've lived in countries where some, if not all, of these freedoms are pipe dreams. Malaysia has a national religion (Islam), as does Thailand (Buddhism). To criticize or question them can land you in prison.

South Korea has a been moving in the right direction, but since Lee Myung Bak (who Koreans I knew living there called Lee Myung Bush), the country has been tilting towards making Christianity a state religion.

I will not go into China, since we know none of those freedoms exist there and few people I know there (including my wife) don't see the problem. Judaism isn't one of the six recognized religions, so if I when to the Chabad House in Shanghai, my wife would be forbidden to enter because she doesn't have a foreign passport.

As I reflect on the freedoms I gave up living overseas, I come to realize that while we do have our flaws and problems (as all countries do), I do love my country and what it is supposed to be and stand for internationally. I expect some arguments which I accept, but I truly believe in my heart that we are that example, willing to expose our dirty laundry to the entire world, show our faults and our strengths, and always work to overcome them.

Those we remember on Memorial Day embody that. Those we look to for defense and protection (no, not you police agencies) are truly the ones who are the best among us. We owe them everything and they should be given everything we, as a people, can give because of what they are willing to give up: Their lives.

This Memorial Day, I ask all Americans, to truly dedicate it to those who have served, alive or dead. My brother served for years and lost friends in wars overseas. One of my good friends visited the grave of his son who contracted cancer while on deployment and died fourteen years ago just two months after his 22nd birthday.

These are the true role models. The 58,000 names on the Vietnam War Memorial. The 351,000 lost being the original ANTIFA and fighting Hitler, Mussolini, and Imperial Japan. The 21,000 in Korea. Iraq01. Afghanistan. Iraq02.

We are at our best when those that served and lived are taken care off completely. . .and those that fought and died are honored completely.

Have a great Memorial Day wherever you all live. Thank an active duty GI. Thank a veteran. Remember those who never came home.

From my campaign website: Arizonans deserve top notch health care

I've lived in three other countries in my life. Let me describe my experiences with you when dealing with the health care industry in those countries:

South Korea: I pinched a nerve in my lower back. I took my "alien registration card," my passport and had an ambulance take me to the local private hospital about two miles from my apartment in Suji. I spent three days in the hospital with three squares a day, physical therapy, private room, and a private nurse. Their single-payer health care cost me, in American money, about $15. The post hospital brand name medication prescribed to me cost $3 out of pocket. No health care rationing as Republicans say, no "bringing your own toilet paper" as AM Radio liked to say, no government oversight or approval of anything. I worked solely with my doctor.

China: I got gallstones. Went to the hospital with my wife. My father-in-law drove. This isn't a huge city like Shanghai. This is a fourth tier city: Danyang. Give a shot of Demerol to kill the pain, CAT Scan, private consultation with the doctor, and a prescription of pain killer if the pain should come back. Out of pocket: Less than $100. Jiangsu government paid the rest.

From my campaign website: John Joel is no good for Arizona education

On May 5th, 1925, science teacher John Scopes was arrested for violating Tennessee’s newly passed Butler Act, making the teaching of Darwin’s Theory of Evolution a criminal act. The trial, known as the Scopes Monkey Trial, gained worldwide attention as all eyes turned to a small courthouse in Dayton, TN. Two legal giants, former three time presidential candidate William Jennings Bryan and famed defense attorney Clarence Darrow, faced off at trial. At the end, Scopes was convicted and sentenced to a fine of $100 in 1925 dollars. And the rest is history.

Subsequent cases about this topic occurred with one reaching the US Supreme Court in 1987 in Edwards v. Aguillard. In this case, Louisiana tried again to outlaw Darwin with different language, asking for balance between Evolution and Creationism. Evolution won again. However, the precedent was set that State Governments can manipulate education policy if they disagree with the things taught.

Fast forward to 2021 here in Arizona. We now have SB1532 which, according to the Arizona Republic, “Arizona teachers could face a $5,000 penalty if they allow classroom discussions on controversial topics such as racism or fail to give equal weight to divisive topics, under provisions of a last-minute amendment that flew through the Arizona House of Representatives on Wednesday.”

U.S. Faces Outbreak of Anti-Semitic Threats and Violence

A brick shattering a window of a kosher pizzeria on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Jewish diners outside a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles attacked by men shouting anti-Semitic threats. Vandalism at synagogues in Arizona, Illinois and New York.

In Salt Lake City, a man scratched a swastika into the front door of an Orthodox synagogue in the early morning hours of May 16. “This was the kind of thing that would never happen in Salt Lake City,” said Rabbi Avremi Zippel, whose parents founded Chabad Lubavitch of Utah almost 30 years ago. “But it’s on the rise around the country.”

The synagogue has fortified its already substantial security measures in response. “It’s ridiculous, it’s insane that this is how we have to view houses of worship in the United States in 2021,” Zippel said, describing fortified access points, visible guards and lighting and security camera systems. “But we will do it.”

Even Gabby Giffords' synagogue here in Tucson was vandalized. I'm Jewish and my wife is Chinese. We both are now under immense threat here.

Thank you, DU, for all the help so far. Words cannot express my gratitude, even to those who have argued with me over a few points on my platform.

Flat tax! FLAT TAX!!! Governor Ice Cream Man wants to turn Arizona into Kansas

This insanity also put Kansas into bankruptcy! Flat taxes ATTACK the poorest of Arizonans.

I don't need to go into the math here on DU, but how anyone can support this is beyond me?

We need a tax overhaul to get Arizona off its addiction to consumption taxes, and this is not it!

ActBlue has approved my request to use them for fundraising.

I will have it setup in, as they say, three business days.

I am asking all Arizonans on DU for their help and their support, on here, in fundraising, and in campaigning, to help me unseat Joel John in the AZ House. LD4 is 56% Democratic and a large number of voters in LD4 are in Yuma and Maricopa Counties.

As soon as I have the precinct level results from the Yuma and Maricopa County Recorders Offices, I will focus my campaign more.

I also ask that if anyone here has questions about me as a person or my positions/platform, please go to my website at www.katzforhouse.org or ask me in thread or in PM.

Let's flip Arizona's House to Blue by putting in an AOC style Democrat in LD4. Just as an aside, if I still lived in New York were I was born, I'd be in her district. If I lived where I grew up, I'd be in Antonio Delgado's district, two amazing Democrats I admire greatly.
