depressing Dem support and inciting RW/independent/a few Bernie Sanders supporter's hatred unless there was something in their attitudes and perceptions already primed to believe it.

What that might be for each group might be up for debate, but it didn't come out of the blue and as such is a really shitty sign for our society.
