Republicans get a dose of reality they refuse to take... [View all]

In the highest mid-term voter turnout since 1966, the Democrats kicked the Republicans to the curb. Overall, they won by about 7 million more votes than Republicans.

Considering that Hillary only won the popular vote by 3 million votes, this was quite an achievement. And there were only about 110 million that voted in the midterms. The Presidential election drew about 15% more than that in the last election.

The difference in the 2020 election may be 10 million or more? That would be a wipe-out if that happened? Republicans are somewhere between a rock and a hard place.

But, by a reckoning of nature, the Democrats have been put into a position where they have to fight for our democracy. The demagogue and his followers must be defeated and thrown out of our Senate and House. It is nothing short of disgraceful how the Republicans have turned their backs on our country.

Unfortunately, they are still drinking the kool-aid and Democrats must watch vigilantly to forestall any unpredictable or illegal acts and to protect our Constitution.

The election of 2018 was only the first battle in this war. The election of 2020 will be the battle that determines which direction our country will take?

Democrats must remain together and strengthen their position for 2020, because the Cult of Trump is still in his camp. They worship the guy. Much like Jonestown worshiped Rev. Jim Jones. I cannot think of another more apt analogy.
