(because I don't stuff the turkey anymore).
What the heck is going on with turkey prices? I went shopping for a small (10 and under) turkey last Thursday. Found a 10 lb Butterball at Walmart and the sign said 98 cents a pound, so I grabbed it. It's usually hard to find smaller turkeys. Anyway, got to the checkout and they said, no, this is a "lil turkey" (what the package said) and that they are $1.89 a pound. I get a small turkey because really, I'm not that fond of turkey and it will only be 4 people attending. So...I'm paying a premium for a small turkey, which actually comes out to the same price or less than a large one?? If I got a large one, most of it would be thrown away!
