This could all be explained normally, though. The changing of the guard presents opportunitiesfor people to seek committees and assignments they want, also to act out resentments and bigotries, seek publicity...

But, again. Who can help wondering if Pence could be compromised too bad to succeed Trump? Reportedly, Mueller has not interviewed him in all this time. That possibility seems to be too big for talking heads to chat about even to say it can't happen.
