the GOP just loves to run with and make it: The Big Issue. On Liz Warren or Hillary Clinton or any other Dem candidate (mostly women) who they clearly find objectionable or a threat or whatever.
My husband had the same family story as Warren's, a narrative that was passed down through several generations. Everyone in the family believed it and frankly with all the details added over the years it sounded plausible. But then, my husband and I had our DNA tested. I was concerned over a marker for Alzheimers (both my father and sister have been victims). Fortunately, my tests showed no markers.
My husband expected a confirmation on the family history/heritage story. Nada. He tested as Northern European and British. Absolutely no sign of Native American DNA.
However, he did score high on Neanderthal links which has become a running joke in the house.
Warren was goaded by the Trumpster's Pocohantas taunts. Maybe she should have ignored the asshole or kept the results to herself. Politically speaking. But in the end, this is something the GOP and media is spinning for their own reasons. All it does is create dissension, something that both entities feed on.
