A pharmacist will usually have a license, perhaps even a pocket license. Trash collectors are most likely considered essential right now as well.



My other half works at a hospital and has an ID badge. If he got pulled over by the police, all he has to do is to show his badge. The hospital wouldn't be able to run without his computer knowledge, along with all of his co-workers.



My son is a personal shopper at Walmart, along with other job duties that he does at Walmart. At this moment, Gov. Cuomo considers grocery workers an essential part of the work force during this crisis.


Generally, with a stay at home order a person can still get food at the grocery store and see the doctor.


Adding: It's basically to keep unnecessary large crowds from shopping for non-essential items and avoiding large crowd gatherings.
